Well after no inclination to even make a card for over a week and mojo on a break I have a Christmas card to share. The image is from Mos Digital Pencil-
"Cat's in the Christmas Tree" coloured with promarkers and added liquid pearls.I doodled round the edges, papers from stash and sentiment stamp was a craft mag freebie.I can honestly say of all the cats we have had not one has ever done this! This is for my son and his Fiancee Rosie who have two cats-although our eldest son once pulled the tree over when he was little!

poor kitty is heading for disaster, not far to fall though, fun beautifully coloured image teamed with perfect papers, hope your sons cat isn't so badly behaved
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun cute image Carol..awesome Christmas card..I've had no inclination to do much either so I clean my room, then moved stuff around, then cleaned it again, I'm exhausted now and feel like I have really accomplished something..lol..

Great fun card Carol....sorry to hear you've been feeling a bit under the crafting weather - looks to me like your mojo is around now though! Hugs rachel xx
ReplyDeleteRead your post title on my reading list and Chevvy Chase Christmas Vacation came immediately to mind and raised a smile, but pleased your mojo got it's act together to create this as it's very pretty.

Very cute card and fun image thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYour mojo holiday was well worth the rest this card is very cute and very well done .Lis
ReplyDeleteOh brother someone is in big trouble!!!! LOL You know we have had many cats and now we are down to one and none of them ever climbed the tree. But now, I am old and do not want to bother of a big tree so we have a little tree that sits on a table. Sam has never touched it. Good kitty. My son stopped trying to have a tree due to the cats he has and now he has the shape of a tree on his wall made out of Christmas lites!!! Genius!
ReplyDeleteLove your card and I see my fave border there too;)
Hi, Carol! Your son and Rosie will enjoy this card thoroughly! Full of festive mischief and colored beautifully, how could they not identify? My kitties have never done this either, but they always enjoy gazing up at the lights, and spatting at the low lying baubles. Your coloring is superb! And the doodles add just the right amount of "chaos" ! LOL Fabulous card! hugs, de
ReplyDeleteWhat a great image and your layout complements it beautifully.

Carol: your Christmas card is so charming! Well done! I like how you doodled around the border of the image's CS! Thanks for sharing your card at PPCC blog this week! Becca/DT
ReplyDeleteThis is the cutest image and all too realistic. Our neighbor cat used to rush in whenever we opened the door and make a beeline for the Christmas tree. He was quite a little character. Your son and Rosie will get a kick out of this. Glad to see your mojo back. My mojo is present and accounted for, but I haven't had time to finish anything yet. I've been working at it in little bits and pieces.
ReplyDeletecute and fun card, and you're lucky none of your cats do that! I have a friend who's cat perches herself into the center of the tree every year like she's a special ornament or something LOL
ReplyDeleteWe actually had a cat do that one time - not fun, but it was funny!!! Your card is darling! Thanks for joining us this month at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great fun card Carol .....reminds me of my naughty dutchess, she used to destroy the tree every year.... and hide the baubles behind the sofa.....fabulous image xxxxx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous fun card.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it so tough when the mojo goes on a break! This card is so beautiful though. I love the doodling - it adds such a great effect. And your colouring is fabulous. We've had cats my whole life and the most they've done is knock the baubles off the bottom branches and whack them around the house!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us at Penny's, and good luck with your entry! :)
This is a fabulous image Carol, sure they will love this card, I may have to buy this one from Mo as Mia has just got a new Kitten...Luna...and we were laughing about the tree come christmas...haha..xx
ReplyDeleteA brilliant fun card loving this kitty hanging for dear life.x
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous,fab design.xxx
ReplyDeleteLovely card and I have also looked around on your blog. So many cards lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat card. Love the design and your colouring looks gorgeous. This image made me smile. My parents put a hook in the ceiling above our Christmas tree and tied it there with a string so that the cat wouldn't tip it over, lol.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your talent with us at CRAFTY CATZ this week. Best of luck! Nick

Fabulous Christmas card and simply love the cat hanging off the tree, reminds me of the one I had when I was young, which did the same Michelle x
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in the fun at Colourific Challenge Corner, your card is fab! Liz x
ReplyDeleteI’ve never had a cat actually doing this, but as for an attempt of, one or two sure has tried. With one of our cats the bottom part of the tree could not have anything breakable, lesson learned as quite a few baubles got shattered on a December day some decades ago... I love cats and think it’s an adorable and fun image and card.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous image, love the humour,..... and how true. Lovely colouring and greatt distressing.
ReplyDeleteHope you are coping with this heatwave.

ReplyDeleteHahaha! Your son pulled over a Christmas tree once? That’s so funny! Hope he wasn’t hurt! What a fun digi image that would make, huh? This card is perfect...your son and his fiancĂ© will cherish it forever! I love the “doodling” you did...and those hatch marks look like cat scratches! Love it! Thanks so much for joining us for our July challenge at Mo’s!!
