Blankie for Granddaughter

I have been busy crocheting a blankie for my Granddaughter(16yrs lol) I made a few blankets when they were small and over the years but she asked if I would make one in pinks especially hot pink-so here it is-the hook I have had for absolute years and all the wool was bought from Home Bargains. Now eldest Granddaughter has asked for one for her dog so now halfway through that one too. It measures 30" square.

Please note if any challenges have digis for prizes I am just playing for fun and support as I don't have a printer

  3. This is gorgeous Carol, so bright and beautiful- had to smile that now you're making one for the dog! I have recently taught myself to crochet and have started making a granny square blanket- might be a while before I finish it as it's for a king size bed but I'm finding the process very relaxing- only one hook to lose down the back of the sofa, not 2 needles!

  9. Awww, I think that's so sweet that your granddaughters asked for blankies from Grandma! You are loved and needed, and you do beautiful work! My mom made countless lap blankets like this for nursing home patients, and eventually I got one, too. Yes, I cherish it. She's been gone many years.

  22. That hot pink blankie is an absolute joy—so vibrant and full of personality, just like a loving hug woven with every stitch. I can imagine your granddaughter’s delight at receiving something so perfectly tailored to her wish! And how sweet that the dog is next in line for a snuggly creation—this project clearly comes with an extra dose of love and thoughtfulness. The 30" size is ideal for cozy comfort, and it’s amazing that you made it all with long-treasured tools and bargain finds. Pure crafting magic!
