Mad march Herbert Hare

I have a Spring card using an old wooden stamp I have had for years but been neglected-Stampotique Herbert Hare coloured with watercolours-I actually made two cards but will save one for later. The papers  are from The Paper Boutique and Craft OClock. Stencilled background from creative Expressions which doesn't show very well as I tried not to be too heavy but ended up too light! Script stamp was a Craft mag freebie I have had for years-never clean it just stamp off, so thought I would clean it as used Distress ink and ended up putting a split it in!!!!!!! I added glossy accents on the eyes and used  a sketch from Decembers Cheerful Sketches. Frame die-cut from Crafters Companion.

Helen said thank you for all the birthday wishes.

Please note if any challenges have digi images for prizes I am just playing for fun and support as I don't have a printer

  11. I always love Herbert Hare! You do such a great job with the coloring which seems so appropriate for him. Cute papers, too. The script stamp seems to be working okay, even with the split. Maybe it adds to the character.

  26. The mix of soft spring greens and that wonderfully eccentric hare makes this such a charming piece. The light stenciling adds just enough texture behind him, and the glossy eyes give him so much personality. The layered papers frame everything beautifully, and the whole design feels playful and fresh for the season.

  32. This is a very pretty Spring card, Carol. Your art is always so sweet and lovely. Please don't worry about having a sentiment or not. Just come play along at Word Art Wednesday. The only thing about a sentiment is that, if you do use one, it can't be anything "unwholesome".....so if there's a sentiment, it should be an encouraging, positive statement. I hope that makes sense. Your cards are always lovely and I hope you'll just come play along, I love seeing your wonderful art. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog to say hello. It means a lot to me as well, and I appreciate you. Have a blessed and creative week.
