Morning and time for the mid month inspiration post at Stamping Sensations for the "Spring/ATG" challenge.
I used the Bluebells stamp from Crafty Individuals, coloured with promarkers and added shading with Faber-Castell pencils, I added shading round the edges with distress ink, three gems from a pack I was gifted in a card swap and p, paper from Crafters Companion. The Bluebells are just starting to come into flower in the garden -I have loads and they make a great display spread about. How come I can take the pics and they look fine then when uploaded to blog colours look washed out!!!!!
Please note if any challenges have digi images for prizes I am just playing for fun and support as I don't have a printerChallenges--

A gorgeous card, Carol. Iʻve never seen a bluebell, but we had gorgeous bluebonnets in Texas. They were a sure sign of spring and are probably blooming right now (unless they have frozen this year)..
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful and I'm also looking forward to seeing them bloom in my garden again.

It’s a gorgeous card Carol, love the bluebells, they are such a glorious sight when they cover the woods with their beautiful colour. Ours are not flowering yet, in the garden or in the woods but don’t think it will be long now especially after the beautiful weather we’re enjoying at present. Xx

ReplyDeleteA lovely card full of spring bluebells. Wonderful. xxx
ReplyDeleteLove your bluebells, Carol - so pretty atop that floral collage background!!
ReplyDeleteI love this CI image of the Bluebells and they certainly don't look washed out, beautiful colours. It's a beautiful Spring card and Thanks for sharing over at TioT. Avril xx
ReplyDeleteThe bluebells look luminous here, with the soft pencil shading giving each bloom a gentle curve and depth. The inky edging frames the panel so well, and the patterned paper adds a lovely bit of movement behind the image. The trio of gems is a subtle touch, just enough sparkle without pulling attention from the flowers. A beautiful celebration of early spring.
ReplyDeleteI would never know the colors look washed out because your card and colors look beautiful to me. I know how the blog can do that, though, as it happens to me, too. It must be lovely to have so many bluebells in your garden!
ReplyDeleteI love Bluebells but they don't do well in my Zone, too hot I suppose. Your coloring and pencil shading is perfection! Thanks for joining us and sharing at The Paper Funday and Beautiful Blossoms Challenges.
