Birthday Card With Braille

Morning and back with my second post today which is for the Just For Fun challenge at Simply Papercrafts.I was asked to make a bithday card with 3-D layering, texture and music as the boy is blind but loves music.I heat embossed the music images which are from Inkadinkado to raise the edges, metal music note charm, some die-cut embossed stars for more texture,B.paper from BoBunny and I stamped and heat embossed more music images from Kanban,I then had the brilliant idea of printing off the Braille alphabet and wrote his name in Braille using liquid pearls for the dots, cardstock from Papermill Direct ans raised everything on 3-D foam for touch.I was absolutely delighted to learn the card went down a storm especially his name and the fact that shop bought cards are usually flat and smooth-so a missed niche in the market there I think.

  3. What a great idea to use the embossing so the boy could feel the card! I actually found a font recently that has braille in it and marveled that EP or some other dimensional product could be placed on top for the dimension needed. Your card is beautiful to the eyes, with all the fantastic elements, but it will be even more to beautiful to someone who cannot see! hugs, de
