Blog Hop with TLC

Create With TLC is haveing a blog hop and there is a freebie image at each blog stop--soooo what are you waiting for--come and join us.This is the pre-coloured image I was given to use and also give as a freebie-"Trio at the Beach/Vintage"just right click and save as-
I decided to make a journal page, the background was created with Brushos and stamps from Polka Doodle and a Crackle stamp-thinks it's Crafty Individuals-not sure and a white pen.I added strips of drywall tape,octopus charm/dewdrops from stash-the pink and green strips were made with the nail varnish marbling technique.I distressed the edges of image and added DI to torn edges and covered the image in clear embossing powder,slightly crumpled it and wiped over with more distress ink,the sentiment was also a TLC freebie.

    I was blown away by the beautiful image and the complete journal spread. I loved everything about it, including the nail polish marbling, the tag, the tag corners, and the beautiful background. This blew me away. Thanks for sharing it with Art Journal Journey today.

    Beautiful Journal Page Carol. When my sister's children were young she would sing a little ditty she called 'Swinning with the Women' whenever we swam in the sea. To be honest, it was just that one line over and over, but it made her small children laugh. This image reminds me of her singing. Happy days!

    I would never have thought of combining a vintage image with an ultra modern design, but I just love how this turned out! Shows that there are no exact rules to follow in cardmaking, thinking outside of the box pays off. Well done!
