Paper Pieced Holly Hobbie

Morning and this is my second post today-my DT card for the Love/Valentine challenge at Love To Scrap.We are sponsored by Stamplorations who besides giving a $15 prize are also offering a 15% discount to all challenge entries using code "LOVETOSCRAP15" which will be available all month.

I used my brand new Holly Hobbie "Wish Big" stamp set-you get the image and 5 sentiments,I stamped and paper pieced the image and added glossy accents to the balloon,ribbon from stash and the background was made with all oddment strips of paper.

    How precious, Carol! Reminders of a simpler time, yet not maybe simpler in terms of making it through each day, as life certainly was hard compared to ours these days. But still, right was right, and wrong was wrong, and people cared and respected each other. Your card conveys all of that in such a sweet way. It reminds us of what is truly important in a very pretty way! xx

    This is beautiful and a clever way to use up scraps. I also love the pop of red from the balloon, it stands out from the otherwise blue monochromatic design.
