Monty Python Inspired

Morning and we were absolutely devastated yesterday I went to let our two ducks Daphne and Derek out to find the duck house side broken into fox pawprints all over outside had found a weak spot and ducks gone-we have had them from 4 days old!!! Chickens were on high alert and not a peep out of any of them all day-my son saw the fox walking down the street the other night and said it was big and with a very big bushy tail-next door neighbour said he haerd a commotion at 3am but couldn't see anything!!!

Right onto card we have a new Monochrome challenge at Daisy Chain starting today and yyyaaaaayyy this is the first one-layer CAS card that I am actually pleased with a Monty Python inspired card,Stamps used are Inkylicious,Lisa Horton from Creative Expressions and the hand is part of a collage stamp from Docrafts I do believe(lost the wrapper)sentiment stamp was from a craft mag freebie set and I drew the lines with a Sharpie and a ruler and red lips was also a sharpie.

  8. Super stamping and design Carol, many thanks for sharing your creativity with us at Penny Black and More challenge.

So sorry about your Ducks, the Foxes can be so brutal, one found a weak spot in one of our hen houses last Summer and took the beautiful bantam that we had rescued from Wood Green. We invested in a Fox light and it really does seem to do what it promises, touch wood no nasty shocks since we had it, even our two Anylesburys who flatly refuse to go in the duck house with the others have survived so far in the run overnight.

  30. Oh no, how awful about your ducks! I hope they fled the intruder and will return home safely!

I have friends who love foxes, but I really don't like them at all. They may look swish but they are nasty pieces of work.

On to happier things: your card is fabulous, so elegant and chic! I love how the only spot of colour is the glam lady's lips!

    Take care!

  39. The card is wonderful Carol, but I have a hard time concentrating on that right now. I am in tears as I think about your poor little ducks. I know that it's the circle of life, but you must be just heart broken! I am so sorry for you and for the ducks as well. I just we could all be vegetarians!! Sending all my hugs to you right now, I'm so sad for your loss.

  40. Oh, I'm sorry about your ducks! That's devastating. Maybe one of them got away. I can't imagine how the fox would have gotten both of them. A neighborhood cat got one of the little squirrels that visits our feeders recently and I mourned that squirrel, even though he wasn't a pet. I can imagine how this made you feel. Your card... You did a very artsy job on this! I would have thought is was a whole stamp, but it's all you, putting it together with such a keen eye. Well done!
