Morning and this is my second DT post today which is for Love to Scrap ATG challenge sponsored by DRS designs and I used their
Fishing Rules image swiped with Distress inks, the fish posters are cut from papers by Docrafts -I used an 8"x6" Jigsaw piece from Lynette Jasper and covered it with paper from The Works, added splat stamps from Crafters Companion-added two lolly sticks wiped with distress ink and a cycle die from Spellbinders cut in half and added distress stains to look like an abandoned bicycle.Special ,memories for me as I used to go sea fishing with my Dad when I was younger and we played Gone Fishing at his funeral as the last song--I remember when he caught some flat fish and eels -left them in a bucket of water overnight in the kitchen and when we got up the next morning they were all flapping about on the kitchen floor-Mam went beserk lol.

ReplyDeleteHi Carol - Stunning! Not sure where to start on the comments - so many great elements. The weathered look is tremendous, and the setting is perfect for posting the great rules. Thanks for entering the anything goes challenge at QKR Stampede this week.

Wow absolutely beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a unique project, and so well done with all the special touches. Brilliant idea to split the bike wheels, as it really does convey the 'abandoned' imagery. Love the distressing you've done with the extra little fish motifs. The Rules 'board' looks very textural, as does the background piece. This will be a fine piece to display and call up your memories of bygone days. I'd have been in the same state as your Mom if I came to into the room and saw eels slithering around. Somebody would have gotten some bruises I fear! Well done on this Carol. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteBrilliant piece Carol! My dad used to go sea fishing. He once caught a huge cod, I can picture the photo of him holding it up now!

ReplyDeleteThis card is so wonderfully thought out with the paper. Love the puzzle shape piece, very unique card.
ReplyDeleteI adore your jigsaw shaped card, what a great idea. The fishing papers are a great find, they make a wonderful male card.
ReplyDeleteI love your little anecdote about your dad, it made me sit and think about my own father for a while, he was also a fisherman, he preferred deep sea fishing but he would never take me with him because of the lack of toilet facilities on day boats.
