Morning and hope everyone is well--hubby called me into the greenhose to see a tiny frog he had seen on one of the tomatoe plants----now bearing in mind hubby is waiting for an appointment for the eye hospital and in my defence I didn't have my reading glasses on and I was stood behind him!!!We both duly admired such a tiny little thing--then he called our grandaughters to have a look --Ellie took one look and poked it-getting a telling off for it-she then said it isn't even a frog grandad --it's a dead moth oh dear still laughing now!!!!!
Right we have a new "Summer and/or Beach" challenge at Daisy Chain and I went with Summer using a Chocolate Baroque stamp and glossy accents on wings-Decoart spray-lace/last scrap of B.paper from stash and the large Bee was recycled from a greetings card-the square stitched dies from The Works and all the layers on 3-D foam pads.

Hmm, glasses all round by the sounds of it Carol. I can confirm the one residing in oune of our greenhouses is a toad as it cleared my foot the other morning on it's way back the the pond.

ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at your story Carol as we had a similar experience. Our Daughter's garden is quite long and I got quite excited when I saw what I thought was a frog hopping about and it turned out to be a bird! Your card is lovely. I really like the warm, summer colours that you've used and they work perfectly with the honeycomb and bees. I like the addition of the lace too. Thank you for sharing this with us at Stamping Sensations and good luck. Sandra x

Love your card - so well designed and colored. But I am still laughing about your story. My husband told me we have chipmunks coming in on our back porch because he saw the sunflower seed shells on the porch floor!!!! Now he is going to set a trap and we have a cat that goes on the back porch so I am up in arms that he cant do that. So I go out and low and behold the sunflower seeds are the fallen petals from my hanging pansy plant that I have out there!!!! Poor Sam (my cat) saved by my somewhat good eyes but almost done in by my husband's poor eyesight!!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI read your post title and then I looked at your card and I was ... erm confussd, Once I read your wonderful story about the tiny frog everything became clear. I love your story, this is exactly how hubby and I are becoming too.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, I really like how you have done the corners of the lace, I have struggled with lace corners in the past, so hard to get them to 'sit' right. Wonderful backing paper and a great bee - fab bit of re-cycling Carol.

Great card, Carol. I love the beautiful bees and the honey comb. Kisses, my friend.
ReplyDeleteYour card is gorgeous. I know I have problems and my vision can be off just with my contacts at times so I can't imagine your poor husband. Sending hugs.
ReplyDeleteLol this sounds like my husband and me, he can see for miles, but not what's under his nose, and I'm short sighted, but I also need reading glasses now too - old age eh! I love your card - I think everyone loves bees, maybe it's because they come in Summer. Thanks so much for joining in with our challenge at Lost Coast Designs, and have a lovely weekend, Sue xx
