What a Palaver

Morning and can you believe we are into July already???I couldn't that's why my card was a little last minute and note to myself don't do fussy cutting until I get new scissors and when I do they will get hidden as find mine all over as they get used for allsorts even cutting wires I found out----not on !!!!!
Right onto card ---we have a new Use a Shaped Card challenge at Get Creative and we are sponsored by Twinkle Lane Designs,Eureka Stamps and
We are 3 whose image "Vintage Rose Teacups " I used. Now you would think there was a clue in the name--Vintage Rose? went right over my head!!!I made a stepper card amd had the bright idea of paper piecing the image then I to add insult to injury I even stamped some craft mag freebie images all needed to be cut out and scissors on the way out didn't look too bad until I posted the pics OMG was I wrong -get new scissors and hide them asap!!!I added glamour dust to the cupcake icing and then even used the cut off pearls boy was I just not thinking??? Then--then I had the bright idea of using Cosmic Shimmer liquid pearls and of course when I finally persuaded it to leave the bottle the heat had made it runny --sooo if you really want to see said card lol here it is----am even having the cheek to enter challenges lol

  2. Carol, I can see nothing wrong with this card. It looks amazing:-)
Unfortunately we all see the "bad" things in our own makes.
I have several pairs of scissors labelled with what I can cut out with them: paper, ribbon and general use lol.

    Enjoy the Cello recital xx

  5. I too have had those same problems using the Nuvo Crystal Drops when the bottle became clogged. Of coarse when I squeezed too much a large clump blasted out of the bottle and went everywhere. Love the tea cups, color and fun Cosmic Shimmer pearls Carol.

  6. Carol, I hope you find the best-ever hiding place for your new scissors, and that you don’t forget where the hiding place is, giggles

Beautiful monochromatic creation. The pearls look dimensional. Wonderful college elements. I love your feminine card!

  7. Despite all of your hiccups, I think your card looks amazing. I love the paper piecing, the pearls look fabulous and it all works so well with the stepper card shape.

I have to confess that when I am in a hurry I have been known to use my paper crafting scissors for all sorts of 'naughty' things. But woe betide anyone who lays a finger on my dressmaking scissors! That's a big, big no no.

  8. Carol, this is a wonderful step card. Love the 3D effect. I am good about only using my paper scissors for paper, but then I have soooo many pairs of scissors so I can do everything.

  9. Wonderful stepper card. Can see everything I need for tea time - muffin.

I know your problem you have with your card - even there is nothing bad on it. Every crafter see the little things on her/his creations - that's normal!

Thanks for playing along with us at our present challenge at Do-Al(l) Kreatives and good luck! Hope you will join us next month again.

  14. This is what I'd call an 'adventure' card from reading your post woes! It turned out splendidly though, and your paper piecing is exquisitely done. Love the stepped shapes and all the little goodies you've added to go with the fancy tea! I've lost a pair of good cutting scissors too (can't blame anyone but myself). Bought a new pair, so I'm sure I'll find the missing ones soon! TFS & Hugs
