Morning and 1st March already can you believe it-I have three DT posts today and the third one is for the ATG/Colour With Pencils challenge at 613 Avenue Create---now anyone who knows me knows I am rubbish with pencils BUT I was quite happy with this result-so much so I coloured another image-to show for another day.
The stamped image is a wooden stamp Prom Queen from Stampotique(another neglected stamp)and coloured with pencils, doodled round the edges and stamped sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays. All the papers are oddments from stash.

Oh she looks like me when I get up first thing..haha...great card Carol.xx
ReplyDeleteGreat card....thanks for sharing with Polkadoodles this week, Nelly Dt x
ReplyDeleteI thought I recognised a Stampotique image, lol. I love some of these but they are SO expensive... it's a great card and your colouring is wonderful. I LOVE my Prisma pencils and go to them first...they just seem more controllable to me, but that's probably more to do with lack of experience with other media.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday!

A super card Carol, a great image and I like your doodled edges.

Great colouring Carol :-)
ReplyDeleteFabulous cool! You've got to love her "I don't suffer fools" expression.

What an adorable Stampotique image. This one is really cute. I'm probably worse at coloring than you claim to be, because I thought you did a phenomenal job coloring her. I also LOVE the doodles around which you framed the card. It's a gem and works beautifully for Try it on Tuesday's Go Green challenge.
ReplyDeleteCrazy fun stamp Carol and great pencil colouring..love your doodling around the edge and sentiment stamp..awesome.
ReplyDeleteLuv CHRISSYxx
Love the wild chick image and the fun sentiment too! Your pencil coloring is well done, I see no rubbish!
ReplyDeleteA fabulous card Carol, I love this image, don't know why I've never bought any Stampotique stuff as they always make me smile with some of the quotes used.
ReplyDeleteA great choice of papers too.
Thanks for sharing with us at TioT.

ReplyDeleteFabulous card and beautiful colouring x
ReplyDeleteGreat card! xx
ReplyDeleteWell, this is a little different for you Carol, I find it good to leave our comfort zone from time to time. Your colouring looks lovely, I do not know why you avoid using pencils. Great layout and lovely colour scheme.
ReplyDeleteI find it hard to get strong colours with my pencils but as all my Promarkers seem to be drying out, they may soon be my only option, lol.

Wow! This is a great card! Awesomeness in your coloring - can't wait to see the next image colored with your color pencils!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL! And whose prom was this, Carol? Really great card and such fun with the colorful backgrounds and doodled frame. I forget to doodle, and it's such a wonderful technique to add to our cards. Love this, especially with that sentiment! Like you, I have recently re-awakened my love of colored pencils. In fact, not only do I use my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol every week again, but I invested in a rather pricey set of Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 Color Pencils AND REALLY REALLY LOVE THEM! I use gamsol with them as well. I wish there was a similar product that didn't cost so much, but these are extra enjoyable, and do not have that "waxy" appearance when blended. Thanks for sharing your absolutely AWESOME card today! I'm glad to know that it wasn't inspired by my blog photo. LOL hugs, de
