Sympathy Cards

I can't believe it's a week since I last blogged and two weeks since I last made something-I have had quite a few down days lately and have had two sympathy cards to make too-not for myself I might add well for me to send!
Thank you for all the lovely comments on my last post for Hollys project.

The first image is a pre-coloured image from the Fall Cotton Wreath set from Jan's Digi Stamps.
The die-cut doily frame from Sizzix-scalloped circle die from Creative Dies and B.paper from stash.

The second one was made using a tip about using the negative part of the die too I saw on Claires blog.
I die-cut the butterflies from Elizabeth Craft Designs -heat embossed with silver and put back in the negative with just adhesive on the bodypart leaving the wings free.Stamped sentiment from a CAS-UAL Fridays Stamp set and then matted and layered onto recycled coloured packaging and black cardstock.

  28. I just saw you in the comment list on another blog and it occurred to me I'd not seen a post from you recently so popped over. I can see I've missed two if not three, went back to check my reading list and non of them appear there, so very strange as I'm still on your follower list.

  30. Difficult cards to make, especially if they are for a specific person in mind. I like to make some to have on hand, just in case. The first a lovely classic one, the second is more uplifting with the colors, but appropriate for a sad occasion still.

  31. (So glad the sympathy card is not for you!) What a lovely way to frame the wreath. Those butterflies are so light and pretty.

  43. Hi Carol, These are lovely cards, something I find hard to do, although I did have to make one last week out of necessity.
I think this lockdown is getting to a lot of folks and I'm not much of a blogger these days either - maybe our inspiration is hiding from this virus!
