Morning and the last Saturday of the month so a journal page challenge with Vicki check out her brilliant page-the challenge this month is "use ribbon/fibres/twine/thread"---(oops sorry put wrong date in!!!)
Now I must admit despite thinking about this all month it finally crept up on me pretty quickly lol.
I found a page already made with Brushos and added a remnant strip I found in oddments box.
Added some fibres,a teabag.a stamped butterfly with a hessian one on the top.

This is so brilliant Carol! Really inspiring background for sure with your play on the Brushos...I need to use mine more! Those fibers behind that teabag are a wonderful nesting spot for that burlap looking butterfly too!! Absolutely LOVE doing this with you and LOVE the inspiration!! Thank you so much for sharing!! :)

ReplyDeleteI've never seen Brushos, but I sure love what ypou created with them. Your background is beautiful. I am in awe of how you used the teabag, as well as your use of ribbon. And of course, I love the butterfly, Thanks for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey using Bleubeard's and my theme.
ReplyDeleteA beautifully put together page Carol! I love the Brushos background, and of course the teabag.
ReplyDeleteI really need to discover Vicki she sounds very interesting. Journalling is so good for experimenting with new mediums and ideas, it is also fantastic as a lot of the constrains placed on you with card making are simply not there and you can just express yourself as you have done here. It's a great page and one you will look back on with pleasure I'm sure. Thank you for adding to the flow at River of Creativity. xx
ReplyDeleteIts a gorgeous page, so colourful, love it Carol.xx

Brilliantly gorgeous put together with a background and remnant strip. The fibers look great with it, and you sure fooled me with that teabag, but now that I look more closely... A job well done, Carol!
ReplyDeleteFab page. I am a huge fan of using up leftover bits and I feel like many of my most favourite pages include remnants of past projects (like the one I added today LOL!)
