Morning and as it's the last Saturday of the month it's time for the Smash Your Stash challenge with Vicki who makes brilliant journal pages so hope you will check her post too.
The challenge this month was papers/kit/collection(decorative papers or kits) well I don't have any kits but plenty of strips of papers so actually got rid of quite a few lol and using my Pink Pig journal.
The background was distress inked and Shattering stamp from AALL&Create, different strips added and the little square with the circle was cut off the strip I used, the archway stamped image was an ATC I found which I had never used so added that and found a "This is the way to go" sentiment on some Graphic 45 oddments, the same with the sentiment on the bottom too.
Son Matthew and partner Rosie were going to get Married at Robin Hoods Bay next year-but after been having tests a couple of years ago and finding out she couldn't have children then a couple of years covid-losing their studio and flat decided to make it later this year and just family at Beverley register office-rang for details and was given a short date for 30th next month so panic stations here at the moment.
Rosie and her Mum went shopping Thursday and got the most beautiful wedding dress and her shoes so one thing sorted!

This is very artistic and cool, Carol! You've made a beautiful background AND used those paper strips -- good on you! Your son and Rosie have had quite a time of it. That's short notice for a wedding, but getting the dress is a big deal. Good luck to all!
ReplyDeleteGreat project and fantastic colours and technique ♥
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the wedding, must be exciting for you
Exciting with a wedding co soon Carol, but so sad as well, same for one of our DIL's.

Hi Carol, what a fabulous journal page - I love the colours you've used! I often think I should spread my wings a bit and try something other than just cardmaking, but never get round to it!
ReplyDeleteI hope the short notice wedding goes well and I'm sure it will be a lovely day. I know a lot of people think the great big wedding is a brilliant idea, but personally I think small and intimate is much better, it's what hubby and I did and were perfectly happy. Weddings have been made into such stressful things and it's not nice.
Also hope you are full recovered from the dreaded Covid, can't believe I've not caught it yet. Either incredibly lucky or just don't mix with enough people to have caught it yet!

P.S. Daughter is incredibly lucky to go to a brilliant Grammar school, who know that kids who live in very rural areas miss out, so all the trips try and do stuff that are something special!
This is beautiful! Wonderful work! Thank you for joining us at the Polkadoodles Digi Chooseday challenge!
