Last Saturday of the month and time for the Smash Your Stash journal page challenge with Vicki. Please check out her blog as she makes brilliant journal pages-mine just seem to be hotch potch and thrown together.
The theme this month is liquid drops/enamel dots/brads/eyelets-my first thought was omg don't have any of those-so rummage through a mixed scrap drawer and found some liquid pearls which actually still worked, and some brads, and as this was a smash your stash I used a page background already made and waiting to be used-found a little frame I made years ago that got left because it was a little wonky but now I think wonky is good lol, added some pink and gold Cosmic Shimmer gilding polish that thankfully still worked -had those years too!Added a couple of stamps from a set loose in box sooo not sure whose they are at the moment.
Sorry Vicki this is a little late today forgot to schedule post!!!

Oh my goodness Carol, I just love this and the brilliant texture you've pulled from your stencils and pastes here! I love the added liquid pearls and glad you were able to find something...able to rummage through and finish off your stash too! (I have such a long way to go! LOL!) The colors are pretty too!
ReplyDeleteP.S. No worries about being late as I actually forgot until last night to do anything at all, so mine was scheduled last night! ;)

Love it Carol, all the textures and that gorgeous pink and that sweet little frame, gorgeous.xx
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty journal page Carol. The timing is quite a coincidence because I have recently been thinking about all the craft stash I have upstairs and have not used for years - things go out of fashion but they come around again and perhaps it is time to dig out all of my eyelets and brads.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first started making cards and scrap books pages I read something which has stuck in my head ever since. It was that things being slightly wonky prove that they are hand made - too perfect makes your work look shop bought. Anyhow, that aside, I cannot see where your frame is wonky!
I love the colours and textures you have used in this project.
