Morning and apologies to Vicki -the last Saturday is our Smash Your Stash challenge but I got mixed up with the dates senior moment -trouble is having quite a few lately! Please check out Vicki's blog as she is much better at this than I am lol!
As usual mine is a hotch potch and quite envious of the pages Vicki creates.I sold pretty much all of my stash when ill co no unused stash ---BUT---I found page that had a stencilled background already,die-cut negative and pearl trim in a drawer and also the pleated curtain top which I made for a past challenge and never used to that qualifies,a wooden owl coloured with pencils, sat on a number strip from inside a kitchen towel that I usually keep, three leaves pressed through big shot and never used so used a newish texture stamp from Creative Expressions.Doodles round the edges THEN found an unused bottle of Copper Pearl liquid pearls that I didn't even know I had?The wooden owl I also found and coloured with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils(which are Helens but in my craft drawer-so mine right lol )
Hopefully watching my 6yrs old Grandson playing football with the Academy team he is in if weather fine -he is doing brilliant, scoring loads of goals and winning lots of trophys bless him,

I absolutely love that pleated valance.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully designed! Thank you for sharing with us at Sparkles Monthly Challenge.
ReplyDeleteThe window scene art journal page is terrific!!! The owl is cute but the pleated valance is stealing the show! :) The little copper accents on the valance are super! Thanks for linking to MTTC's wings theme! --Becca/DT
ReplyDeleteThis looks great. I like how you have used all the elements. I know I would really struggle with this and spend ages staring at a blank page. You have done brilliantly, even with a limited stage xx
ReplyDeleteAmazing how you pulled this together even though you had no old stash. You sold it ALL? Love the curtain and the copper drops. Your grandson is quite an up and coming athlete. We call his game soccer over here. My son played for years and it was as much fun for the families as it was for the kids.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous page Carol, love the cute owl and the pleats, so pretty and look at the style and determination on your Grandsons face, good on him..

ReplyDeleteThis page is awesome. I love the colour combo you've chosen. That owl is super cute and the border you've drawn is perfect for the page. Thanks for joining us at My Time To Craft. Hugs, María.
ReplyDeleteReally imaginative page Carol, you managed to find plenty of unused stash for the challenge .... I had a look at Vicki's page and could not see where she had used up the stuff hanging around her craft room - beautiful as her design is. Perhaps I should gather up some of the rubbish, I mean priceless stash, hanging around my craft space ;)

Oh my goodness Carol, I just LOVE it my dear!! That owl has me smiling first of all and the wonderful pleating at the top is very clever for your design too! I love the added trims and doodling for this as well! You come up with some really clever and fun ideas that I would never think to do which is why I'm so happy to be doing this with you! You do wonderful projects with such stunning results! Thank you for sharing and please my apologies for being so late as I just got home yesterday late afternoon with tons of laundry and lots of catching up to do here!! Thanks for sharing sweet lady!! HUGS
ReplyDeleteSuper cute owl! I love the fold on the paper too. I have been working my way through my stash as well. I have a tote that I have a ton of items in that I have slowly been trying to use up. Funny thing is friends seem to send me more stuff and it gets added to the tote and I have to try and stay ahead of it to get it used up. LOL!
