A trifle late sorry Vicki but had to go out this morning and didn't schedule!
The last Saturday of the month and time for the Smash Your Stash journal page challenge with my blogging friend Vicki.Hope you will check out her blog as she makes brilliant journal pages.
The challenge this month was make Stripes/strips(paper/paint/ink/paint)
I have loads of scrap paper strips so glued a load and covered an A4 piece of cardstock(will definitely make some more) then die-cut some square and Autumn leaves-dies from The Works and Tim Holtz, made some stripes with ink and a plastic card.

Brilliantly done with the strips Carol! I think we we're both thinking the same thing about the paper strips! Always have tons of those in my paper pile! I love how you've made the squares together with your strips and then added another dimension with the die cut leaves as well! I love the added lines in the background too! Very clever my friend! P.S. I just woke up over here and need a cup of coffee to get my day going...so I don't really know when this posted late or not my friend! LOL Thanks for the inspiration!!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful page and what a great way to use up those small strips we all have. The colours and patterns are lovely together.

Oh,my, what a great page Carol, all the texture and layers and colours, not one you just glance at, say lovely, and move on, this draws you in, so you get to look at everything, love it.
ReplyDeleteTim Holtz has glaze, which you rub over the oxides on your project if you not too keen on the chalk finish, but it is pricey, so I use a touch of Vaseline instead.

Carol this is FANTASTIC!! Makes me want to go straight into my very very neglected craftroom and go smash some of my stash. I love how you do this and I really wish I had time to come play and create. Love the cross sectioning and layering. So happy to have seen this just before bed.
