Morning and I found this tutorial to make something out of an 11" x 8 and a quarter inches paper/card I had never heard of before a Zine so I made one lol.You just fold and make one little cut-thats it and you decorate using little oddments and I knew I had some Vintage adverts BUT whilst looking for them I found an almost empty paper pad from Studio light, had it for years and I had used all the papers but left a few pages of the colourful image to fussy cut but never found the right project-but this was it!I fussy cut all the image, sentiments and the little washi tape images and the two strips the birds were standing on was candles but thought that was going just too far! When closed it measures 4" x 2 and three quarter inches (10x7cms) Quite enjoyed making this little fun Zine. The B.paper was from K&C in the QVC Dawn Bibby days.

never heard of this Carol but looks fun and turned out fab xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cute zine, so cheerful! I make these mini books at school (I'm a teacher) with the primary school children, they fold and cut sheets of photocopies, write short stories or poems and draw illustrations. The fold is easy enough for them.

ReplyDeleteYou are a crafter after my own heart - I've made two Zines and there's a third one which is a work in progress. I had never heard of them before I attended a mixed media workshop about a year ago! They are fun aren't they? xxx

ReplyDeleteA beautiful little zine Carol! I have some of that K&C paper somewhere. I bought loads of stuff from QVC way back when! Lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun colorful album! This could be used for a child to learn colors! I used to make this type of album for my students to use as a study guide before tests! I called it the McFarland Fold. I laughed out loud when I saw your example one in white, as that is how I showed my students how to make it. Great job! So glad you joined us at Mini Album Mania!
ReplyDeleteCarol, this is such a fun creation! Thank you for my introduction to Zine and for sharing your creation with us at AG in a Card Free Zone Challenge. Shirley M., DT
