Morning ,hope you are all well and we have a new ATG challenge at
Simply Papercrafts sponsored by
Morgans Artworld and I used the beautiful image Valentine 12 which is no longer available(oops)Image coloured with promarkers and glossy accents for raindrops,cardstock from Papermill Direct,Crafters Companion EF,B.paper from Craftwork cards,Spellbinders die,lace/pearls from stash.Looks simple enough and no trouble-right???WELL the first image I chose I made a mess of colouring used a Graphik line paiter and the pen just sploged out-so put me off and I printed this image-coloured it and pan pastel round image-diecut it out and the die ripped taking it out-had to cut the frame out and die-cut another to layer up-as I stuck image down everything moved slightly?not taken the backing off the foam pads!!! and now it lays there looking all sweet and innocent,well now you know lol.Would also like to give you a tip don't have a burning candle(which is in a glass) next to glass of wine-picked it up to drink/or next to cup of tea only dipped my shortbread biscuit in candle flame lol-not fit to be left alone me!!!My daughter has a field day-threatening me with a room in the care home where she works.The card is a Mothers Day card for future DILs Mum-to ne personalised after pic.

ReplyDeleteOh, Carol, it turned out just beautiful in spite of all your trials. Gorgeous rose, lace, and papers, and it all looks just perfect. I sometimes have a cup of coffee nearby when I'm stamping, and once when I was watercoloring I dipped my paint brush in it. I'll remember to keep any candles on the other side of the room. Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a really bad day but sometimes we make fabulous cards trying to retrieve a card that has gone wrong and I think that is what you have done here. Your card looks amazing, great colouring and wonderful design.

PS I am not sure candles and lots of craft paper and glue are a great combination. But perhaps it is just me who is super clumsy.
no candles allowed in craft room it is on my computer desk in the living room lol x
