oops late again!!! but I have a good reason our old rabbit Nibbles died during the night after a short illness and as grandaughters were here we had a graveside ceremony complete with flowers, choc biscuits(nibbles favourite) and wine(well perry and shandy for Hollie lol )
I have also been in agony with my back for the past three days and just starting to ease off thankfully-for the first time in my life I have cricked my back and doing what??? helping my grandaughter do a jigsaw yes I can hear you laughing in disbelief-I would too but stupidly was knelt on the floor with her and leaning at an angle with the resulting pain---a jigsaw no word of warning on the box either lol.
Anyways I made an anniversary card for my Sister using the beautiful stamp Floral Grunge from Chocolate Baroque I stamped in Distress ink and lightly spread colour with water then overstamped in black, used same colour in a stencil from Artisan Design and the little Ladybird stamp (coloured with promarkers)was from a set from Pink Frog. Three little purple gems from stash.

This is so beautiful. Thanks for all the recent hints you have left me. I'm trying to expand what I do and I don't seem to learn as easy as I used to. One thing I have learned is jigsaw's are only for the tabletop, With my crushed spine anything on the floor is off limits!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card, I like the image and the stenciling background, nicely done, and thanks for playing our challenge at Krafty Chicks Challenge.

I'm so sorry about your bunny as well as your back! Jigsaw puzzles are fun but I'd need a forklift to pick me up off the floor if I got down there to do one! LOL I do mine online now instead! This card is just gorgeous with that subtle stenciling and that adorable ladybug accent! Beautiful! Do take care now and I hope that awful back pain is soon gone!

Oh I do hope your back is better now, it is the simplest of things that can cause problems isn't it? This card is absolutely beautiful I love how you kept it simple without over colouring but very elegant at the same time. xx
ReplyDeleteCarol, first of all... gorgeous card! So delicate and soft and feminine. Really a lovely stamp, and I like the softly stenciled corners. I'm sorry about Nibbles, poor thing. I hope he died peacefully. I'm also sorry about your back, but glad you're recovering. Not laughing because it's the smallest things that will set it off. Darn jigsaw puzzle with no warning on the box! Imagine that!
ReplyDeleteI'm pleased you gave Nibbles a good send off and making a card is good therapy. I specially love the little ladybird you snuck in there. CarolG
