Morning and September can you believe? We have a new ATG/School Dayz/anything school related challenge at 613 Avenue Create and welcome to our Guest Designer MARITZA.
This time I went with ATG as I had an unusual request for a retirement card -the lady who is retiring works in a Funeral Parlour and the brief was a pic of the lady/a coffin/Funeral Parlour cars and funny funeral anecdotes---so off to google but not entirely happy with the printing quality from my new printer -okay if just black and white but forget colour!
I decided to make a Ta-Da card (Twist and pop card tutorial from Beccys)as a way to use all the little pics and thankfully they were really pleased with the card phew!
The wood effect P,paper was from The Works(at least 3yrs old) and the coffin was coloured with promarkers and a gold pen. Sentiment was computer generated in Dafont.

ReplyDeleteI haven't made a twist & pop card in ages, but this is quite a send-off for retirement! All those images relating to her line of work are perfect! Glad to know your back is better too, but my goodness, all those wet dogs in one room can surely cause a catastrophe! LOL
ReplyDeleteWow beautiful work as always - love the layout thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an unusual brief, I don’t suppose most people would want a coffin on their retirement card! You pulled it off beautifully. It is a truly special card xx
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh, what a FUN card! It will give her lots of hoots and giggles. The way you did the pop up fold makes it so extra special. I know she'll keep it forever! It is good to know your back is better. You must have been doing some partial bending to work on the puzzle. It's one of the worst things for my back. I must say, however, that is just about the cutest puzzle EVER!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Carol!
