Last Saturday Journal Challenge

 Morning and the last Saturday of the month means its's a Smash Your Stash journal day with Vicki at Stamped Smiles hope you will pop over and check out her journal page.

The theme this month is recycled items/thrifted items to upcycle/pieces of magazine /gift wrap.

I used my Pink Pink journal and found a page that was used for mop ups.I added a piece of coruggated card coloured with  aqau marker,the roses are from a piece of gift wrap and the Japanese newspaper was from errrrr oops no idea had it for years lol hope it's the right way up!

I found an oddment of lace and made a flower -added a recycled Bee from a birthday card and glued them both onto a dried tea bag.The TH die-cut leaf was a left over and I found a feather on the floor from the Lovebird so slipped that in too,the little tag was Graphic 45 and cut a piece from an old dictionary page.

Beginning With B

 Morning and I have a card as a Guest Designer for the "Something beginning with B"challenge at Allsorts today.I used---Birthday/Bulb/Blooms/Bugs/Bees/Butterfly.

I made a slimline card using Petal Power stamps from AALL&Create colured with promarkers and added glossy accents.

Stencilled background using a Creative Expressions dot stencil,stamped sentiment and Ladybirds from Pink Frog.Sorry if colouring a bit off as bit of trouble with eyes!

My favourite Make so far

 Morningand hope you are all well? Thank you for all your comments about Johns eye he is doing okay and has a check up on the 14th.Bought him an eye patch as it was affecting his balance-only had white so he painted it black-as it looked more interesting lol.Sadly we have also lost his Brother who passed away on Tuesday.

I found this blog post at Nigezza Creates and inspired me to have a go(sorry about all the pics-no I'm not lol)I really enjoyed making this one!

I needed double side papers so found some I have had for years! Everything used was from oddments box or paper drawer and no new stuff used all the paper elements were cut out of other papers-the Bee/Rose/price labels/number strip-the signature was made using paper/book pages/doily and the little hare stamp was a craft mag freebie years ago.-I stamped on the papers and tags with loads of little craft mag freebie stamps,will definitely have another go at one of these.Made a slimline notebook to go in first pocket.

40th Birthday

 I have another birthday card to share a neighbours 40th and she loves Gin so what better card lol.

The stamps are from Visible Image -added promarkers and glossy accents,I stamped the bottle twice and put onto 3-D foam pads same with the ice cubes.The background is stencilled -over a smooshed background-with Distress ink and stencils from Creative expresions and Stencil Girl,script stamp was craft mag freebie,and I found the 40 in a bit box.

Noahs Birthday

 Morning and I have two birthday cards today the second oneis for  Grandson Noah who is now 6yrs old and been playing football for a couple of years and they have now passed him onto an academy because he is doing so well and won quite a few - player of the match-been there two weeks and been picked for a team already,got cerificates for swimming too.Not surprising Noah and Hollie have the same birthday two of a kind those two and sure both have been here before!!!

OMG Hollie is a Teenager lol

 Morning and we have two birthdays today -well three counting a neighbours -Grandaughter Hollie is now 13yrs a teenager(omg mind you had the attitude of one since birth lol)and Grandson Noah is 6yrs doing brilliantly at swimming and football!

Firsdt card is Hollies who is a Yungblud fan -she even got to see him in concert last year (no idea either) so off to google who obliged with the pics(who are not Hollie by the way lol).P,paper is from Paper Boutique.

This is her birthday present-DOM a beautiful corn snake and guess what ? he lives at Grandmas yayyy :)

Spring Time-Lucky Save

 Morning and I have a card to share with an image that almost ended up in the bin but the more I looked at it the more I liked it lol and we altered the clocks for Springtime too-what do you think ?

The current printer loads from the bottom and comes out above but comes out printed on reverse so if you use glossy paper you load it upside down-so when using ordinary printer card you have to remember which way you loaded the paper which obviously I misjudged!!!

NOW I printed out the pocket watch image I won from Polka Doodles,then printed out the 

Wild Flower Blossoms I won from Jan's Digis but didn't reverse the paper so over printing!!!

Actually quite liked the effect so went with it and coloured the flowers with promarkers and left the pocket watch as is.

Happy Birthday

 Morning and what a week-last Sunday morning John got up complaining he had something in his eye-nothing-then he kept seeing a shadow and floaters,by the time we went to bad he had coloured flashes-not good.

Monday got an emergancy app at the Diabetic eye clinic was not concerned at all,bored girl taking photos told us to ring optician.Emergancy app at optician on Tuesday revealed (even before an examination)a detached retina gave us a letter to take straight to the eye hospital who I cannot fault and an app for an op on Thursday so now just have to wait and see if sight is in anyway damaged.

 

I have a card  which I made for our youngest  son using a pic of  his dog(she is an absolutely beautiful dog with not a bad bone in her body,never heard her growl even when ours do to her-she just walks away) to give to our daughter Helen on her birthday.The stamped sentiment was from Pink Frog and the background was recycled packaging which I thought worked with the pic.

Tissue Box Holder

 Morning and the new challenge at Pearly Sparkles is  "No Cards Allowed/Anything but a Card"

 I have made a tissue box cover using  dies from Spellbinders with Cosmic Shimmer Gold Gilding Polish round all the edges.

The Indigo Blu Butterflies were stamped onto my boiled papers I made a few years ago and finally used!-fussy cut and put onto 3-D foam.

Black pearls and lace from stash-black ribbon and bow was recycled -wrapped round new pyjamas.

Done and quite pleased how it turned out.
