Mini Album

For the first of my two post today I have made a mini album worthy of recycling lol,the covers are made with cat food box and the inserts are toilet roll inners,papers are Parisienne Blue -Papermania,lace buttons are from stash and used die-cuts and made matching tags to go inside and added a velcro fastener.Link for tutorial HERE

Male card

Swirls and Pearls

Monday morning and the start of a new week hope the weather is better than last week cold and wet!Son,DIL and grandson were in Poland last week and kept texting how hot it was and pics on FB of them in the sea!Two posts from me today and the first one is for Artistic Inspirations -the challenge is "Swirls and Pearls"//ATG and as the sponsor is Sassy Studio designs i chose the beautiful image "Katniss Girl of Fire" and paper pieced the image,tonic punch on bottom border,B.papers are oddments from stash,Cosmic shimmer ivory PVA glue to make the pearls,cardstock from Papermill Direct and Memory Box Cosmo border die,and made my favourite upright Z-fold card.

Decorated with Graphic 45

I bought a small set of MDF drawers from The Works for £1-99 thinking of decorating one each for my grandaughters,and had just the papers.When I checked my acrylics I didn't have the right colour to match --soooo for my first attempt used my last bits of Graphic 45 French Country and the black acrylic I already had.I gave them a coat of gesso then black acrylic,oddments left from Graphic 4,a chipboard tag, a wooden label as a stopper,and made an easel card for the top.I just hope they have some left when I go back lol.

New baby card

Welcome to my new follower LIS.What a week I got a sample card and decorated MDF heart for Tattered Lace shown on Ideal World for TPOTD,and also have a card in tne latest Docrafts magazine:).My baby card today was made for my DIL friend who has just had a little by.B.paper is New Arrivals by Forever Friends,my favourite (at the moment)square dies from Marianne Creatables,congratulations new die from Tattered lace liquid pearls and buttons from stash,cardstock from Papermill Direct and silver embossed footprints stamp from Hero Arts,all layers on 3-D foam pads seeing as it wasn't going through the post.Hope you enjoy your EASTER weekend and don't eat tooo much chocolate-on second thoughts ignore that last part lol.

Cute Easter

I bought some of the new pro-coloured toppers from Hobby House and this card was made with one of the Wee Bunnies-Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet.I added a couple of dies,B.paper-Botanicals from Craftwork Cards,liquid pearls from stash and added glossy accents to the bow round egg.

Holly-Ann(Grandaughter)is 5yrs old today

Morning well today is the day my grandaughter Holly-Ann has been counting down the sleeps to-she is 5yrs old and coming later to pick up her presents which she wanted all wrapped please!they are both feeling a lot better and her Mum and Dad are both cursing calpol as after having a couple of days worth felt well enough for an hour in the garden-during which they took a screwdriver,levered the lid of a tin of emulsion in the shed!and painted each others hair and clothes!!!cue a phone call from Matthew asking how to get paint out of hair without resorting to turps-which in case you need to know is just shampoo left in for 10 mins then a fine tooth comb see easy eh lol.Would have loved to have seen them though.This is my card for Holly because as soon as I saw this image it reminded me of Holly-Ann.Yesterday I spent the day with my eldest son Paul and grandson Jozef,after feeding him his "lunch" -dinner to me lol we went shopping for his first pair of shoes-which was no hassle at all completely different to when I went with Ellie and Holly for new school shoes an absolute nightmare!!!He now has six teeth and crawling all over and walking round the furniture seems quite advanced for 9months or I could be biased.

Broken Toe/Dislocated Finger and Scarlet Fever

Hi everyone -well on my last post I told you I had broken my toe,then two two days later I dislocated my finger!!!and I have been helping look after my two little grandaughter while Mum and Dad is at work as they bth have scarlet fever.It never rains but it pours!!!On a good note their Dad(my son Matthew) who has his own tattoo studio now has so much work on he has been offered larger premises,and after a guest spot at a tattoo studio in Sheffield in February they have asked him back in April and he has also been offered a booth in June at a tattoo convention,he has had tattoos in a couple of magazines and been interviewed by a magazine in Australia-so things looking up for them fingers crossed.My card today is just a simple CAS as mojo is a bit slow at moment.

Broken Toe!!!

Morning -at the moment I am nursing a very painful and very swollen purple broken toe!!!I was carrying the shower curtain down the stairs to wash and because it was nylon the end slipped under my foot which bent under and luckily I had one hand free to grab the bannister-result one broken toe,the one next to the big toe? reduced to wearing summer flip flops even though it was cold today lol
