Spring Bluebells

 Morning and time for the mid month inspiration post at Stamping Sensations for the "Spring/ATG" challenge.

I used the Bluebells stamp from Crafty Individuals, coloured with promarkers and added shading with Faber-Castell pencils, I added shading round the edges with distress ink, three gems from a pack I was gifted in a card swap and p, paper from Crafters Companion. The Bluebells are just starting to come into flower in the garden -I have loads and they make a great display spread about. How come I can take the pics and they look fine then when uploaded to blog colours look washed out!!!!!

Mad march Herbert Hare

I have a Spring card using an old wooden stamp I have had for years but been neglected-Stampotique Herbert Hare coloured with watercolours-I actually made two cards but will save one for later. The papers  are from The Paper Boutique and Craft OClock. Stencilled background from creative Expressions which doesn't show very well as I tried not to be too heavy but ended up too light! Script stamp was a Craft mag freebie I have had for years-never clean it just stamp off, so thought I would clean it as used Distress ink and ended up putting a split it in!!!!!!! I added glossy accents on the eyes and used  a sketch from Decembers Cheerful Sketches. Frame die-cut from Crafters Companion.

Spring and Tulips

 Morning and our new challenge at Stamping Sensation, chosen by me is "Spring" with 2 prizes of stamps and stencil from Sweet Poppy. I made this card for Daughter Helen whose birthday it is tomorrow.

I used a Tulip stamp from Sweet Poppy coloured with promarkers, fussy cut the flowers and glued onto a Spellbinders die-cut which I also added on 3D foam pads. I stamped the tulip heads again, put onto 3D foam pads and slightly offset to make the flowers look fuller. The P, papers are from Stampin Up, sentiment stamp from Penny Black and  finally used some ribbon from stash.

Happy Birthday

Morning and first of all I would like to say thank you for all your lovely comments on my Millie post and for understanding-they were all really appreciated so a thank you.

I have a comfy pillow I sleep on but spent the night in here lol.

My card today came about really easily and as really pleased with it. I have a little pile of oddment strips which has been getting bigger and bigger-so I covered a piece of white cardstock with a selection, and only  had to have a tiny bit cut off the length-then onto black cardstock. The papers ere mainly Stampin Up, some Polka Doodles and Paper Favourites which I have had for a good couple of years-maybe even more! The Happy Birthday die was from Tonic and I even remembered to stack it!

Millie

 15yrs ago we got our eldest cat Millie-John didn't want cats so she was mine-only Millie had other ideas despite me being the one feeding her she followed John everywhere and I mean everywhere. If he sat anywhere she was next to him and tasting everything he ate, if he was in his shed she laid in there and in the Summer when he was in the greenhouse she was there-he even made her a bed in there. When he became bedbound she stayed on the end of his bed giving a tirade of abuse when she had to be moved.

The day before he died she spent all after-noon sat on his chest just staring into his face-then the next day when he died she spent all day in the greenhouse.

 When we brought the box containing  his ashes home they were on a unit in the front room while we decided what to do with them, so she slept on the box every night.

Now John didn't want to leave this house where he had lived since he was 2yrs old, that's why we never got to downsize before, so we put a few of his ashes in the garden which he loved and placed a large stone over the spot-so Millie used to go out and lay on the stone.

Yesterday almost two years since John died (just short of our 55yrs anniversary)I was washing up and saw her walk down the path-she never went out of the garden- she stood staring at the stone for a while-walked a few steps and turned to stand and stare again-what a strong bond to have with someone even after death who didn't want a cat. as for the rest of us-well she tolerates us is all I can say.

Delicate Snowdrops

 Morning and time for the mid month inspiration for the "Your Favourite Stamp/ATG challenge at Stamping Sensations with two prizes of Lavinia Stamps.

I made a Diamond Point card using papers from Crafters Companion and some Twinkle Goosebumps embellishments I received in a card swap. 

The Snowdrop stamp from Sweet Dixie, coloured with promarkers is my favourite at the moment because all my snowdrops are in full flower in the garden, I added touches of green to the stamped image- looked fine then before I took a pic decided to add glossy accents the the flowers which decided to turn the flowers green!!! So  I stamped the image again and fussy cut the flowers and added on foam pads. The background stencil is from My Favourite Things. I take pics-they look fine-upload to laptop-look fine-then when I post it washes out some of the colour!
