My First Decorated Canvas

Morning everyone and hope you are all well.Today is the start of the second challenge at Crafting at the Weekend and the challenge is ATG and you have a month to link up so do hope you join us.The sponsors this month are Aurella,Nicecrane and Sunrise Crafts.I have been dying to decorate a canvas(10"x8") and bought one a few weeks ago and this week thought go for it lol.I covered the canvas in gesso,then made some modelling paste to use through a stencil and sequin waste,I then added die-cuts,dewdrops,corrugated cardboard,keyring chain,chipboard letters and flower shapes,odd flowers,lace,tiny key,washer,hessian,metal hook,broken locket,fabric butterfly,plastic earing-then covered the lot in gesso and added cosmic shimmer sprays,glitter,and Twinkling H2O's.Quite pleased with a first try but dying to have another go and next time will use less flat stuff and let colours dry before I try to add another!!!

What a Day

Well it's Friday the day me and my cousin spend the after-noon showing and hopefully selling our cards,BUT this week My Son and DIL were going out for a belated birthday meal and I was picked up as she left work,so no Hobbycraft and decided I would take grandaughters into town for their lunch and quick shop BUT as they created last night for their Dad as Mum was at work she decided they couldn't go.Decided to go for a shop at ASDA,then Tasha rang- work called could she go in and me look after girls and give them something to eat sooo a busy day but not much achieved!!!My card today was another one asked for last minute,a Christening card using the "Christening"image from Mos Digital pencil,coloured with promarkers,papers are Graphic 45 "Little Darlings",ribbon from Hobbycraft and buttons from stash.I used the sketch from the Meljens challenge blog.

Flower Bath and Dog Show

Morning and hope you are enjoying your Bank Holiday and the weather is fine for you,I was taking the two grandaughters to a fair on Saturday but it heaved down all day -yesterday was beautiful warm and sunny so hope it stays fine today as I am going to Driffield with both Sons and their families(and dogs) to a dog show.They all went last year,Paul has a pedigree Border terrie(Bramble)and Matthew has a cross yorkie/chihuahua(Alice)and it was Alice who won a ribbon!This is the first of two DT cards today this one is for Artistic Inspirations and the challenge is ATG/Anything with Wings and as the sponsor is Samistamp I chose her image "Flower Bath" coloured with promarkers,glossy accents on bubbles/glamour dust on wings/cardstock from Papermill Direct,ribbon from crafty Ribbons,B.paper and die-cuts from stash.

Butterfly Belle

Morning another weekend these are coming round frighteningly fast.This is a quick post this morning as I am taking grandaughters Ellie and Holly-Ann to a little fair near us this morning so will add challenges and catch up with all your blogs later today.I was at Hobbycraft with my cousin yesterday and manages to sell some cards and the little MDF set of drawers that I painted and decorated so quite happy.My card today is using "Butterfly Belle" a beautiful image I won last week from Digi stamps4 Joy,coloured with promarkers,a doily die-cut in half,cardstock from Papermill Direct,Cosmic Shimmer liquid glue pearls,other pearls and paper from stash.I made my favourite upright Z-fold card,I love this shape.

well that was the fair werll and truly rained off!!!

In The Harbour

My card today is for my sons birthday tomorrow(44yrs)Where have the years gone???He breeds some pretty rare fish but have done fish cards in the past and as they have been talking about a holiday on the Norfolk Broads -this is the image I thought of-well maybe not Norfolk Broads but boats all the same lol.The image is "In the Harbour" from delicious Doodles coloured with promarkers,cardstock from Papermill Direct,alphabet from Tattered Lace,papers from stash and chalked sky.

Late post tonight

Late posting this tonight and been dithering whether to blog it or not,was going to use this to join the DT call at A Step in the Dark and when I saw the other entries I lost my nerve lol.My son has his own tattoo studio and i made this card for Andys birthday his apprentice who is now a tattooist in his own right -way to go Andy and he is obsessed with zombies and the undead!Anyway seeing as I haven't blogged it up to now here it is.

No Digi Image or Patterned Paper

Another bank holiday weekend over and actually had some sun and more today and even quite warm !!!My card today is using die-cuts (dies borrowed from my cousin)and not a digi image or patterned paper in sight.I embossed the background with a daisy embossing folder which was a craft mag freebie,Martha Stewart corner punch,matching double bow,liquid pearls and siver embossed "warm wishes" all cardstock from Papermill Direct.

Ellie -7yrs old

This card was for Grandaughter Ellie who was 7yrs old yesterday and who got a new gorgeous kitten and we have a new addition to the family!!!daughter Helen has got a little chihuahua puppy-Suki.Ellie wanted a "cool" card not sure what that meant no other explanation other than cool lol.I used a pre-coloured topper from Hobby House,Gorjuss Girls papers and added selection of dies and Tonic border punch.

Steampunk Owl

The new challenge at Crafty Girls is da-da-da-da-ATG so hope you find the time to join us.Sponsors are QKR Stampede and Aurora Wings whose image Steampunk Owl I chose to use,as I have done a few girly ones lately and only a couple of male plus I struggle with the steampunk concept--WELL --I had a coupe of attempts and still not happy with the result,I don't think I did the image justice-it seems steampunk is not my "thing" lol should have used the ballet image lol lesson learnt.I cut out and coloured the owls with promarkers and added two crow dies and as it looked a bit plain,not sure if I used right B.paper stamped on it with cog images -any feedback would be appreciated.
