Goth Prom Queen

My DT card for A Step In The Dark is a day late for the challenge which started yesterday as we have had another family drama -getting to be quite a habit lately!!!My DIL had a very dramatic melt down which we all think is post-natal depression as it's not the first time and surprise surprise DR full booked up for a week!!!

Moss Fairy and embossing with Lemon Shortbread

Morning everyone and the start of another week -the last week of this month-time flies.We have a new challenge at "Get Creative Challenges" which is -Must include embossing-and our sponsor is Lemon Shortbread (love that name)and I chose the beautiful image "Moss Fairy with Skull" coloured with promarkers and glossy accents on wings,cardstock from Papermill Direct,the B.paper is embossed and been in my stash for yonks.I then used my new leaf EF on some craft mag freebie paper and then ran distress ink pad ove the top,moth cut from TH papers,chipboard owl,wooden heart,string, and dies from stash.I frantaged the owl and moth -then sprayed card with picket fence and iced spruce distress sprays.

Flashback Friday

Had been planning on joining the Flashback Friday challenge but this week passed so quickly and this was a last minute card and not really turned out how I envisaged but not too bad lol.oops just linked up and should have been blue or pink-I made a blue one first but wasn't happy with it!!!I white embossed the background stamp,then coloured with Panpastels,cardstock from Papermill Direct,B.paper from Docrafts,the Baby words and feet are both stamps from Inkadinkado,die-cuts from Memory Box,lace and ribbon from Hobbycraft and brad from stash.

New challenge blog and Birthday card

My card today was made for my daughter to give to my son on his birthday-ha taught himself to play the quitar and banjo and has a collection of guitars and as she asked me the night before it was a quich CAS card lol.The background stamp was from--oops no idea no label on stamp,the guitar and sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo,I embossed the backgound with a new EF from Crafters Companion which was POTW at Create and Craft.

Sunshine Twist

Dark or Non-Dark that is the Question!

Morning everyone and we have a new challenge at A-Step-in-The-Dark,which is ATG and you can now enter a "Dark or non-dark card"so hope you can join in and support us and come and check out the DT cards and blogs for some inspiration if needed.We are sponsored by "Fantasy Arts and Crafts" and I chose the image "Witch magic books Spell" coloured with promarkers,cardstock from Papermill Direct,B.paper from Tim Holtz-Crowded Attic which I used some distress sprays and a mica copper spray-I then embossed the paper.the crow/raven is a TH die.Quick update on Alice-we now have her home but she is in a right state,her underskin is black and purple with puncture wounds and she is unable to use her back leg just trailing it so being carried out to wee as she won't go on puppy pads,only eaten a little chicken but is also reluctant to drink so using a childs medicine syringe.They sent her home because she was very anxious and distressed,but at least she is still alive and has another check up on Thursday.Son is waiting to come on computer so will finally catch up with all your blogs tomorrow and thank you for the comments you have been leaving even though I was MIA so to speak!

Dog attack

We have had a terrible week with more family drama and to top it all our poor little Alice chihuahua/Yorkie who is a very protective loving little dog was viciously attacked by a staffie today which had got out when the families grandson opened the gate.When they say they shake them about like a little rag doll is actually what happened,someone stopped to help but we couldn't get the dog off despite a desperate effort.Alice is now in avery bad way at the emergency vets-all this happened in front of grandaughters Holly 5yrs and Ellie 7ys so ther was lots of screaming too,Holly said later I thought you were going to break their window I was knocking so hard for someone to come!!!I was shaking for hours-fortunately the owner took us to the emergenct vets and offered to pay the (hefty)bill and are having the dog collected tomorrow to be put down.Holly said I hope the doggie heaven is closed on a Sunday-fingers crossed it is closed to Alice full stop-she keeps saying she can't die from a cut leg can she?Unfortunately not as simple as that they think she has a fractured leg and internal bleeding but because of the shock all they can do for 24-48 hours is just give her a fluid drip and pain relief.

Hearts and Valentine

Well it snowed and now it's gone thank goodness!!!I cannot seem to get myself motivated this week and have been slow getting round your blogs again,but am catching up slowly lol.I was asked for this Valentine/Anniversary project a couple of weeks ago and after I got halfway through it was cancelled so put it on hold,but as most of the challenges are Hearts/Valentines Day I thought I would finish it off,so here it is.I made a box in a card suitable for adding a gift.Cardstock from Papermill Direct, B.paper from a CD but had it that long no idea which CD,a selection of dies and the new silhouette freebie with the Tattered Lace craft mag,ribbon/pearls and liquid pearls from stash.
