Morning- 2years maybe 3yrs I bought a beautiful paper pad -Bittersweet Heights from CraftOclock and I have only usd one sheetbecause I hate the thought of covering them up.SO---I made an 8" square(because thats the size of the sheets)using one full sheet then tearing pieces of another one to make what I hope is a Gothic looking scene,I distressed the torn edges with DI ---and nothing more to add!Hope you like it.The colours are actually slightly darker but I took loads of pics and this was the best one.

Love the ethereal look of your papers Carol, can totally understand why you didn't want to cover them up, nothing else needed
I know how it feels to not want to use or cover a great paper up Carol, I am using one just now and am finding it hard to keep it on show, well done you :))
Love your card, its just fabulous. Now I will have Frankie Laine singing in my head all day hahaha...xx
Very nice, thanks for sharing!!!
Amazing papers from the collection of Bittersweet Heights from CraftOclock and I can fully understand not having used papers for years. This turned out fabulous and love how you have designed your card xx
What an interesting idea - the paper certainly does all the work!
Such clever use of your beautiful paper to create this fabulous card Carol. It has a brooding 'edge of your seat' atmosphere which I love!
xx
Great use of these papers Carol - fab make!
I know what you mean about covering up such pretty papers! I feel the same way, Carol. Love the papers and your creative card. Thanks for sharing with us on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog's new challenge. Good luck to you, and hope to see you again soon. Lori - DT
This is fantastic Carol and great depth created with your textures too. I struggle to cover up detailed backing papers too, let alone chop them up. The colour is great. - Michelle x
Oh wow Carol what an amazing creation and named after one of my favourite songs, I can see why you didn't want to use these papers they are lush and to beautiful to cover up as you say, a brilliant Gothic card
hugs

Your paper is gorgeous, imposible to cover it up! Hugs!
This is an interesting look, but I like it. A great way to use the papers too xx
Those are some beautiful papers and I actually see the face of a lamb on the left side with the outline of one of it's ears.
Oh, my, amazing paper. It's like getting a whole collection of art when buying designer paper. I'm helplessly hooked on it. This is beautiful, Carol. I always love how you use paper!

Carol, I don't blame you for not wanting to cover the papers! Really cool design and I love your idea with the torn edges and added distressing around them! Really fabulous design!
An interesting piece of art Carol, so different. It makes imagination fly. Well done!
Wow - what amazing paper. Loads to look at and let the imagination fly. You did well not to cover the main sheet up too much, but the use of a complementary sheet in torn strips is genius. X
Absolutely magical Carol and I love your clever way of extending the paper! Vicky x
Beautiful! I can see why you wouldn't want to cover the paper up Carol xx

Wow this is absolutely stunning my friend - love it xx
very clever way to keep the paper in tact Carol x it is lovely
Your creation is stunning! The Gothic scene you've crafted using the Bittersweet Heights paper pad is truly captivating, and the distressed torn edges add a perfect touch of authenticity. It's understandable why you hesitated to cover up such beautiful sheets, but you've certainly made them shine in this 8" square masterpiece. Great job!
An excellent way to use such beautiful papers! Great job!! 👏👏👏
