Astrantia and A Man!

 Morning and time for the mid post inspiration for Stamping Sensation ATG/Mood board challenge and we are sponsored by AALL&Create. I went with Garnet and AALL&Create stamp sets Astrantia and Textured Florals.

I used the fabulous P.paper Watercolour Painted Flowers from ScrapAndMe and stamped the Astrantia straight onto the P.paper and coloured with promarkers, added some doodling and texture stamp from Creative Expressions,found another ring can pull and a slhouette man in the pot so he went on too ,the sentiment was from the botom of a P.paper pad and after some advice from Helen it went on at a wonky angle lol.

Turtle or Fish? No its a Penguin !

 Morning and we have the first challenge of 2024 at Scrapping4Fun which is Add a Turtle/Fish. Now this was another challenge I was going to miss as had nothing suitable,but during the decluttering I found these scraps of TH paper and a stamped Penguin image from goodness knows where!!! I coloured the penguin with Faber Castelle pencils,also found the die-cut which looked liked a photo frame so used that and the background was made during the lockdowns and trying new techniques shown by Tracy Evans.It was made putting ink on a stencil then using pva glue to add layers of tissues or you could use kitchen roll glued over the stencil and using a stencil brush or similar to press each layer onto the stencil then remove when dry -then leave in a box/drawer for two years until you accidently discover it again lol-also added a couple of dewdrops from stash as bubbles.

 Morning and I have two DT posts today-the second one is for Stamping Sensations.

January - Gerrina Mood Board/AG

Welcome to our first challenge of 2024!

This year we are putting a slightly different spin on how some of the months challenges are presented. We will be having several themes in the form of mood boards to reflect the flowers and birthstones of months where DT's Birthdays fall and sharing a short bio about those DT's. On other months we will carry on with generic themes.

Gerrina's Birthday is in January and here is the mood board, you can take inspiration from any element or colour within it, or of course follow the AG option.

 I used red and snowdrops from the mood board and the beautiful Iris stamp set and Shattering background stamp from AALL&Create coloured with promarkers.Number strip from inside a kitchen roll and I found a red ring can pull in my bits box.Beautiful watercolour Snowdrop p.paper from ScrapAndMe.

Planes/Trains/Automobiles

 Morning and I have two DT posts today -the first one is for the Planes/Trains/Automobiles (suggested by Deanne) challenge at Dragonfly Dreams. I almost passed on this one as had nothing suitable,but whilst having a declutter I came upon this car image and no idea how long I have had it or where it came from!

I made a stepper card and used p.paper from Paper Favourites.

Golden Wedding Anniversary

 Morning and we have a new ATG challenge at The Crafty Addicts.This was a Golden Wedding Anniversary card made for one of Johns old school friends and who keeps in touch-he did initially ask me to make him a card for his wife but this is the card we gave them.I made  my favourite Diamond Point card  using Spellbinders layering frames and added distress ink whilst still in the die,p.paper from I think the Paper Boutique.I made the flowers using a Joy flower die and craft mag freebie flower dies and tiny buttons for the centres.The peel off G and C are there initials.

Sympathy Card

 Morning and a Happy New Year to you all and I have two DT card today the first one  is for the CAS challenge(chosen by me) at Pearly Sparkles and I had to make a sympathy card for  a sudden death of someone who you thought would go on forever. She lived in the next street but was one of the old school neighbours who always sat on her front step watching all the kids and telling off those who needed it right from when ours were all young and was always there when anyone needed taking to school.Still sat there in her wheelchair,she was one of those people who everyone knew!Poppies are a Memory Box die and the butterfly I found already stamped and cut out so just coloured with promarkers.I embossed lines on the white background strip using my score board.
