Hi everyone and hope you are all well-can you believe we are halway through June already, these months are flying past!I have had some dull silver card for at least 5yrs and because it's dull and not mirri board have been at a loss how to use it,but recently bought Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder "Gears" and it worked perfectly with the silver card.Then I swiped it with black acrylic to make it look like metal.In my stash I had a small canvas two and a half inches x three and a half inches(ATC size),bought because it came with a small easel (to take pics of my cards and which I have never used!)So I covered the canvas in the card and found a small plastic/metal Beatles embellishment which came off my sons broken key ring,so decided to glue that on too.Have now given it back to him recycled.

Fantastic look. Really does look like old metal that has been 'pressed' with the gears. Great idea to add the Beatles embellie....This EF was perfect for the way you used it on this card. TFS & Hugs

I so badly want to try this too now hehe, not sure how you "swiped it with black acrylic", how did you get the background to be more blackened that the embossed gears?
