98% back in the Land of the Living

Hi I am not 100% but 98% back in the land of the living.

Well so much for low blood pressure after two weeks feeling really ill  surgery finally sent someone out who told me I had a chest infection, kidney infection and total exhaustion so much so I really thought my time had come!!!December was spent in bed with the odd hour on the sette and the inclination to do nothing but refound my love of reading and thank goodness my daughter was here.

Thank you for all messages, beautiful cards sent, gift from Patricia and beautifully made masks from Dionne.

Anyway I am feeling better each day and starting to eat ---but---I realised something had to give so I sold most of my craft stuff just keeping some basics for Holly, but she asked for a sewing machine for Christmas and has discovered sewing bless her.

I have also left all the Design Teams as less stress the better but still have a few cards which havent been blogged yet .

Hope you all had a good Christmas and have a safe New Year

So happy to see your post and that you're feeling better my friend! I was thinking about you and concerned about your giving up crafting. I do hope that you will be well enough later down the road to continue what you love and understand the stress of it all. Sending you wishes for a very happy, healthy, peaceful New Year in 2021 my friend! Thank you for all of your crafty support through the years! HUGS

Carol, so glad to hear you are improving. It's hard leaving behind the things we enjoy doing - but sometimes deadlines can be a bit daunting when our bodies won't cooperate the way we would like them to. Sending many get well wishes for a complete recovery. Thank you for sharing. love, de

Carol i'm so sorry to read this, I am doing my end of year catch up and just wanted to wish you all the best for the New year. I do hope you will share a creation or too, I know how life can be extremely busy when attached to design teams. Take time to heal and find what you love whilst putting your feet up. Here's to a healthy and safe 2021 Hugs Tracey xx

Carol, I'm so sorry I missed you last post so unaware how poorly you have been, but a blessing you are now on the mend.

I understand where you are coming from with DT work, nice as it is it can dictate your life and I know you were pretty committed so I hope the rest and stepping back will get you back to full health again.

I'm not using the word happy this year, just saying let's pray together for a safer and better 2021 for the whole World.

SO sorry to hear you have been unwell. You take care; family and health is a priority not crafting. God bless and happy new year xx

I'm very happy to hear that you are recovering Carol, it sounds like it will take a little more time to be 100%. Shame the surgery didn't come out earlier, you may not have been so ill with the correct treatment, so much for these times. You are very lucky to have a daughter who cares. Good you have relieved the pressure by selling most of your crafty things. Without them there you can feel better and not feel the need to do anything. Books can be a great escape, and that I'm glad to hear you've done. Keep safe and recovering. Relax and enjoy your new sense of freedom too.
Happy New Year

So pleased to see you back Carol. You really have been through it haven't you? Take it easy, let others look after you. I'm glad you haven't sold all your stash, you never know how you'll feel once you are 100%.

Oh, my! I'm so sorry to hear your illness turned out so severe. I know you have more on your plate than just keeping up with design team obligations, so it had to be hard on you. Exhaustion makes us vulnerable to all kinds of things. It can't hurt to simplify, and you still have some craft supplies in case you feel like doing something a little later. I really wish for you a happier and healthier new year.

I'm so glad you are doing better. Boy, you really had a mixed bag of illnesses. Try to relax as much as possible. I was in the hospital with covid in December. The treatments worked well, but I'm still so tired weeks later. Al least I no longer have the virus, thank God.

I am so glad to hear you are feeling better. I am also glad that you are reducing your crafty workload and a little surprised that you have gone so far as to sell most of your craft stuff, what a hard decision that must have been. I shall look forward to seeing your remaining cards. Good luck with your recovery, it will take time and patience so just keep enjoying those books xx

Carol, so happy to hear your health is improving. I keep you in my prayers to feel your old self again soon, but with less stress and more happiness. Each step you take along the way will get you there. I've been having some issues myself and holidays are no fun with them but hey, at least it was lockdown so we didn't miss all that much being ill, right? LOL HUGS! XOX

It's so good to hear from you and know you're on the mend, and it sounds like you had quite a time of it! I'm so sorry you had to sell your craft supplies, but we both know how easily those can be replaced should you change your mind down the road. I'm just glad you're feeling better and are resting comfortably and dealing with less stress in your life. Stress is a hard one to deal with and most of us learn that the hard way. You just continue to rest and get well again and know I care about you and wish you the best life has to offer in the new year. I'm so glad your daughter is there for you!!! Healing hugs!

OMG Carol you sound like you were really really ill. It's frustrating to take a back seat but thank goodness you had your daughter on hand. It will take some time to get over that one so give yourself time! Glad you got my little package ok. Sending many hugs xxx

Oh my goodness. You've not been a bit well, have you? I do hope you're feelinga little better day by day.
I haven't been around myself since before Christmas - bad back and since then a severe bladder/kidney infection - so I didn't see this until now. Today's my first day of feeling a bit more like 'normal'.

Hope you didn't sell too much of your stash...that would be such a shame. You'd only end up buying some again. There again, it means you'd have double the pleasure of buying the newer stuff :-)
Really hope you're much, much better soon!
