Not entered the Butterfly Spot challenge for a while so when I saw the latest challenge thought I would have a go looks simple enough---yer right.
I cut one card out but it didn't fold properly and the edges didn't meet -checked measurements-all right-so before I messaged Valery to check measurements I made one out of copy paper worked perfectly first time??? So made another one with card-perfect so no idea what I did with the first one.
I gold embossed a Chocolate Baroque Butterfly for the belly band,and white embossed a Chrysanthemum from Pink Frog,gold embossed sentiment was a craft mag freebie.Mwtal flower brad and all oddments of p.paper from stash.

Absolutely beautiful
WoW, gorgeous Carol, love the fold and papers and the gorgeous butterfly..I made a box yesterday and totally not correct, could not figure it out until much later after making a new one. I had cut the sides on the wrong sides, if that makes sense.got it sorted though..lol..

Very effective and clever folding on this one. Sometimes things are just a mystery, you will never know why your first attempt didn't work, but it is good to persevere as the end result is well worth it. Love the black and gold butterfly too xx

It looks so elegant and amazing Carol. My first one I tried I accidently forgot to cut 1/2" of the width of the card. Doh! But soon realised and fixed. I did make a video following Valery's instructions but lots of bloopers lol. Well done you!

A superb fancy fold and I love your butterly, it looks really bold in black. I used to enjoy doing fancy folds but they can be very time consuming, so I only make them occasionally now. Your card is beautiful x
