CornFlowers and Gladioli

Morning and we have a new ATG challenge at TTCRD sponsored by Sheepski Designs, and I used the image Cornflowers coloured with OMG pencils---now I have two excuses errr reasons my colouring is not too good---

1---I sat on my reading glasses and now all wonky and not quite focused(yes I can hear you laughing!)

2---most of my promarkers have dried up(Yes the colours I wanted!)

SO--- I had to borrow Helens Faber-Castell polychromos pencils and I kid you not I do them no favours!

anyways here it is-I added glossy accents on the jar, stamped sentiment is from Pink Frog and the piece of P.paper is from The Works, die cut frames from Crafters Companion.

The prize is 3 images from Sheepski Designs.

Not that the next pic is to distract you in any way lol! The last of the gladioli from the garden.

Well I think you did very well in your moment of adversity :o) and coped admirably with the situation you were dealt :o) - I think it's a fab card. I hope you get your glasses fixed soon, sitting on his glasses is something my hubby does on a regular basis, lol.

What a very pretty card Carol! I know things can keep us from having certain abilities to do things beyond our control sometimes, but we are also our own worst critics too! Don't be so hard on yourself as I think this is done beautifully! I love the shine you were able to capture on your glass jar as well as the papers! Keep having fun with your crafting my friend! HUGS

You sat on your glasses? You must be a "Sista from another Mista" I do stuff like that all the time!

I love your card, even with all that trouble it turned out gorgeous!

Hugs,
Chriss

Lovely card tho Carol!
My gladdy are just coming into flower - which is surprising as you're a little further North than me, but I did plant the bulbs out a little late. Am hoping for rain but not torrential downpours as it will see them off before they've started! x

Your cornflowers are beautiful Carol,I only need my glasses for distance and frequently leave them wherever I take them off,and yes I have sat on them.My son had laser treatment 2 years ago but I'm not too keen

Sorry Carol I have laughed at this post only because it sounds like the sort of stuff I do all the time. I think my kids are wondering about me hahaha. But your card is gorgeous and none of us would ever have known about the troubles you had to get that image to look so pretty. Love it xx

Stunning card and I think your colouring looks terrific. I have a set of F&C pencils and, try as I might, I can never get any depth of colour with them. I so admire the skills of anyone who can. It's a beautiful stamp and the touch of Glossy Accents is a great finishing touch. Very pretty backing paper too.

Your gladioli look splendid and remind me of my parent's garden.

I'm an expert at struggling with pencils (because I do struggle so) and your flowers are beautiful, no sign of struggle anywhere. Wow, gorgeous glads, I do miss seeing them (tho I do love all our beautiful orchids).

In spite of your glasses mishap, you colored this image beautifully! I hate when my markers go dry, but you did this cornflower image proud! Love those gladioli in the vase too. They're gorgeous!

The cornflowers are really pretty. We had lots of them along the seafront this year and they looked glorious, such a lovely shade of blue. Well done on your colouring with pencils. Thank you for sharing with us.

Well I think your card is very pretty and we all do stupid things from time to time so no worries. Love those gladioli, they would never grow in my garden as it is far too dry. I was hoping for some rain today but no joy, just grey skies. Seems like everyone has had torrential downpours except us xx

Hey, you can't see well without your glasses so that's why you sat on them. Also, if your glasses weren't all wonky you could see that your coloring on this actually looks quite good! It's really a pretty card. I love the softness of cornflowers. Gorgeous glads from your garden, too!

Your gladioli are beautiful, Carol! I know you will miss them. It's too hot for them to grow here, so I always enjoy photos of what is growing in UK gardens. As for sitting on your reading glasses, OUCH! Even holding things out completely arm length, I cannot see anything other than smears and colors, so my hat is off to you for this creation you hand colored! All I can say is, thank goodness for reading glasses! I actually have a pair in 3 different rooms LOL Beautifully done! hugs, de

A pretty card Carol and I think your colouring is fine. I can sympathise with you about your glasses, I fell over and bent the arm on my main glasses, it's not great is it!

Even though you sat on your reading glasses, you did an amazing job coloring these images. I love that you used pencils. Sometimes, we forget about these in our stash. Great job. Thanks for joining us at Creatalicious Challenge.

Hubby has the knack of taking off his glasses, placing in his lap, falling asleep in front of TV and then waking up suddenly and standing up and promptly standing on them. He has done that twice now to the same pair of glasses. It is getting to be an expensive cost. You have created a lovely card with the borrowed pencils. I cannot get on with using them at all. I dread the day when m ymarker pens cease working. Hug Mrs A.
