Smash Your Stash Journal Page

As it's the last Saturday of the month and I can't believe it's the last one of the year-it's time for the Smash Your Stash journal page challenge with Vicki.the challenge is oldest stash-now seeing as I gave away/sold 99% of my stash the oldest thing I found were these papers I can't even remember where they were from,I fussy cut the scissors from the papers, found two dress making body forms, tore the paper edges and added sewing threads all onto a brayered background all ready made in my Pink Pig journal.

This year had a last throw of  the dice we have had another close very sudden death and I have been in bed since Christmas Eve with this cough and cold bug going around -really nasty and still not 100 % but at least up and dressed thankfully. Will catch up with you all during the week -fingers crossed.

I'm so very sorry to hear you've been sick my friend! I do hope that you start feeling better soon! Your page is absolutely brilliant with the sewing theme with the papers and the idea of adding some thread for texture too! Love the way the background turned out too! It's been such an absolute pleasure doing these AJ pages with you my friend! Thanks so much for your continued inspiration and friendship this year! Have a safe, healthy and happy New Year ahead! P.S. I have sent you an email, but please don't worry about replying right away as it's not important. HUGS

I'm so sorry sickness has taken over your holidays this year, but hopefully you'll soon be up and about and feeling well again. This is a great page made with your older papers and I've been enjoying all these pages you and Vicki have been making all year! Take good care of yourself and I hope the new year brings you a restoration of your good health and the vanishing year takes all the bad along with it. Happy New Year!

Gosh, I'm so sorry to hear the year ended on such a sad note. Not good that you have been dealing with the upper respiratory illness, either. It can be a devastating thing, but I'm glad to hear you're recovering. Good job with the art journal page. You've been very clever about working with limited supplies. They do have a way of multiplying, so I know it won't be long. The colors in the background are pretty!

So sorry to hear of your loss and that you have been so unwell!! That bug is so hard to get rid of. My daughter in law next door has had a relapse after thinking she was getting better so be very careful Carol and don't over do it. I hope you feel better very soon!!! Your journal page is just so gorgeous, I love your colours together.

I hope you are feeling much better now, I know how you feel it sounds like I've had the same thing and have been unwell over Christmas. Loving your page, the colours are beautiful and the sewing images with the threads look amazing 😊. Thanks for the inspiration and wishing you a Happy New Year! Hugs Jo x

Great papers you used on this journal page. I love the colors. I also love the vintage scissors images. They remind me of the scissors I have that I inherited from my grandma.

I hope you are feeling better now Carol, it was a nasty bug you had.

I keep forgetting that I n longer get email notifications of your posts and I need to keep an eye on your blog! So, I almost missed all you have been up to this year, including this smash your stash post. I love your dressmaking theme with all of the scissors and manakins. Gorgeous colours too.

What a work of art this is Carol and here I read why you are not fit .... a death and then another cold .... is not nothing and in the meantime I have read that it takes a long time :(
Big hug and get well soon xx

Itʻs my theory that some of our immunity from the good old fashion cold bug is gone because of isolating. I had a cold mid October that really took me about a month to fully recover from. I do hope you are feeling better at this point. Your page is wonderful, love all the texture and color. I hope you continue this, I really enjoy seeing what you come up with. Iʻm sorry to hear that you have had another loss, somehow it seems even harder during the holidays. ((Big hugs to you, Carol.))
