Morning After-noon it's the last Saturday of the month so time for the Smash Your Stash journal challenge with my blogging friend Vicki of Stamped Smiles. Hope you will check out her amazing blog. Thank you Vicki for saying it fits with this months challenge of abstract shapes too.
I am already one month behind and think mojo has melted in this heat-even when I got up this morning I had no idea whether I was even going to get this one done-the prompt was wings-easy enough you would have thought with my love of Bees and Butterflies! I woke up after a really sleepless night due to a boat on fire in the river and having to close all windows due to toxic smoke and fumes-and it was soo hot too. Anyway I got up this morning and saw a card on top of my shelves so decided last minute to use the beautiful Bee image cut out with a Crafters Companion die, stencil from Stencil Girl, little stamped Bees from Chocolate Baroque and the little bug from a Sweet Poppy stamp set- no idea what the bug is but its my journal page so it's purple lol. The numbers strip at the top is from the inside of a kitchen roll glued onto a strip of p, paper I had kept???

Please note if any challenges have digi images for prizes I am just playing for fun and support as I don't have a printer.

Hello Carol! I'm so sorry to read about the smoke fumes and how awful that must be to deal with! No worries about having to a page when not inspired or feeling rushed as sometimes I loose MOJO too and just can't do much of anything!
I am happy that you saw something to catch your eye and just go with that because this bee is stunning! Wow! I love the floral design on the wings and the lovely honeycomb stenciled background as well! (Love that you've added the purple bug in there too!) This actually goes with this month's theme too with "Abstract shapes" because of the label die! Very nicely done my friend and thanks for sharing your inspiration!
Wonderful journal page. Beautiful stenciled background and theme. Thanks for sharing with A Cut Above's June Challenge, "Anything Goes With A Die Cut".
Prachtige bladzijde Carol.
Vervelend van de brand waardoor je slecht hebt geslapen.
Hopelijk vannacht weer beter .
Groetjes Elle-Jeanne
A wonderful summery page Carol,
Despite the heat an the lack of sleep, you've managed a beautiful page. My mojo has left the building as well, it's too hot to craft! Thanks for playing with us at Allsorts challenge.
A lovely journal page and a great way to upcycle your card. So sorry you had to sleep with the windows shut in this heat - hope you got a Nana nap in this afternoon lol!
Hello Carol, yes, keeping your windows closed is the best idea. Your page is beautiful.
I live in Montreal and here in Quebec, Canada 🇨🇦 we get wildfires 🔥 every summer and that coupled with the extreme heat 🥵 and humidity is bad. Stay safe.
Well I am glad you got there in the end. Love your giant bee. hope the fire is all out now and no-one was hurt xx
I think your card is very pretty, nice that you have the same subject as I did on my last card.
Oh dear, that must have been a horrible smell 🤢
I love the way your creativity is sparked & you just go with it. Great journal page! Stay cool in this sluggish heat wave we are having. Hugs.
