Summer Flowers

I am back to post two  cards which are late. I collapsed at the beginning of the month due to not sleeping, hardly eating and low blood pressure resulting in complete bed rest and plenty of fluids.

I used Iris stamp set from AALL&Create and paper pieced the flower, I smooshed the background with Distress Oxides, and drew round a circle die with a fine liner pen.

Please note if any challenges have digis for prizes I am just playing for fun and support as I don't have a printer

The soft texture of the paper-pieced iris against that beautifully smooshed background creates such a graceful, summer-fresh feel. The added circle detail gives it movement, almost like the bloom is gently swaying in a warm breeze. It’s a stunning composition that blends strength and serenity so well.

Wow, Carol — this summer flower card is blooming BEAUTIFULLY! 🌸 Your smooshed background and the gorgeous iris are like sunshine after a week of dreary rain — exactly what we all need right now.

So thrilled to read you’re on the mend and crafting again — between your artistry and resilience, you’ve got “gardening ninja” written all over you! 😊 If a flower deserved a medal, it’d be your iris!

Thanks so much for sharing both your creative joy and your recovery journey. Here’s hoping the rest of your summer is filled with equally lovely cards and zero need for hospital visits. 💪✨

Keep those petals coming, Carol — you’re an absolute inspiration!
