Poppies

Morning and I have a card using a new stamp set and a sketch I liked at Atlantic Heart. The stamp set is from Arrietty with two images and ended up making four cards with them! I coloured the image with some new watercolour pens Helen bought and didn't like, so this was my first time using them and think I need new glasses as struggling with colouring! I lightly inked a stencil from My Favourite Things in the background, dies from The Works and p, paper from Crafters Companion. Sentiment from Penny Black and ribbon from stash. I coloured the poppies the same colour I have some in the garden.

Please note if any challenges have digi images for prizes I am just playing for fun and support as I don't have a printer

Beautiful Carol love those yellow poppies, so pretty! We have some growing in the garden- never planted them so I think a bird must have dropped some seed, they appeared last year and are spreading!

Your poppy card looks beautiful with the soft stenciled background and the warm yellow tones, and the way you colored the flowers to match the ones in your garden gives the design such a personal touch; the layered dies, ribbon, and patterned paper all work together so nicely to create a polished and cheerful look.

Love that stamp! Your take on the sketch is brilliant, I love the DP and the subtle stencilling also. Thanks for the heads up about my post yesterday - definitely scheduled it for today - blogger strikes again!

You could fool me about struggling with your coloring. These poppies look beautiful to me! I like the sketch too. I'm always fond of a paneled background, and the pretty paper you used for it is perfect! My apologies for being lightyears behind in my visiting again, but trying to catch up.

I absolutely love your floral card. The poppies are beautiful, I like the bright yellow blooms as they remind me of a beautiful summer day. I also like the background papers in combination with black. The bow couldn't be more perfect, I think it brings everything together nicely. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.
