Smash your Stash Journal Page

Last Saturday of the month and time for the Smash Your Stash journal page challenge with Vicki from--- Stamped Smiles. Hope you will check out her blog-she makes brilliant journal pages and cards.

Due to computer breaking down then losing John I am two months behind so playing catch up with the Water theme. I found a premade background in my journal and just added some more blue distress ink and stamped bubbles, added a strip of wall lining-no idea why but found it in the drawer so on it went! I stamped all the images on p, paper from CraftOclock then cut them out with a tag die bought from a decluttering page on FB, the stamp set is from the decluttering page too, the voice of the sea sentiment was sent to me in a card swap. The centre sentiment tag was put onto 3-D foam pads.

I had to include the lighthouse-love them reminds me of the one at Spurn Point where I spent many happy school holidays. My Uncle was a Lifeboat crew man and it was very remote with chickens running round-my Aunt/Uncle and two cousins lived at cottage no 5-its all abandoned now due to getting wash overs with the tides and can get cut off sadly.

PLEASE NOTE IF ANY CHALLENGES HAVE DIGIS FOR PRIZES-I AM JUST PLAYING FOR FUN AND SUPPORT AS I HAVE NO PRINTER

What a great journal page that depicts happier days in your life. How sad things have now vanished but your memories are solidly noted forever in the way you put this page together. Nice job!

Great background for the seafaring stamps Carol, a wonderful page. Thanks for the photos too, I think we tend to forget that the shoreline is changing around the country. x

Carol, I'm surprised you're doing as well as you are. This background is so beautiful and I can see how the lighthouse tag could bring back memories. I'm so glad you shared the photos. On one of our motorhome trips we tried going back to some places we'd visited many years ago. They were built up, overcrowded, and ruined. So sad. One needs to make new memories.

I always love your journal pages. This is no exception. I apologize for not coming by. Between taking care of grandkids and going to three different therapies a week I haven't gotten to do very much. Plus, my husband uses my computer almost all day long. I bought him his own, but he likes using mine better. i guess I have to be nice and share!

Your page has turned out amazing with your background and it's a brilliant idea to add those image tags to complete your look with the "water" theme! (This is the one that I skipped for the month! LOL) I love that added "netting" to your background too for texture! I love how your photos and memories have inspired your page as well! This is why I love doing my own personal art journal pages as it brings out emotion, thoughts and memories in me as well...so I hope this will be therapeutic for you as you work through them too. Please enjoy and don't worry about any of it you don't feel like messing with. As always, thank you for your wonderful inspiration my friend! HUGS

“Your journal page is absolutely stunning, Carol! The blue distress ink and stamped bubbles create such a serene water theme. The lighthouse is a beautiful touch, and I love the personal story behind it. The 3-D foam pads add great dimension to the sentiment tags.
