Card Swap Reveal

Morning and time for the card swap challenge reveal and 26 cards were exchanges. My card went to Jeanne in U.S.A.
I went with the colour scheme and uses part of a large stamp from AALL&Create, coloured with promarkers, sentiment I received in a previous card swap, background I made embossing lines on cardstock then swiping over with ink pad, script stamp was a craft mag freebies from years ago. Sadly this will be my last card as our local post offices have closed and the nearest one is now two bus rides away.

My Friendship card from IMKE in  Germany

Please note if any challenges have digi images for prizes I am just playing for fun and support as I don't have a printer

Beautiful card Carol, love the colours and the vintage grunge feel. What a shame about your local post offices closing. Could you buy your postage online then drop off in a local post box? Xx

That's a beautiful card you have made Carol. I love the plank technique and it works so well with the large flower. My local post office has closed and we now have to go to Shopping Centre. Luckily it's not too far but they are now talking about it being closed too!

A gorgeous colour palette and stamped images, I pay for postage online and the postman collects it

A lovely bright card and so effective with the panelling. What a shame that you have no local PO anymore. Thanks also for sharing with us at We Love Stamping. (BTW you haven't linked your tulip card yet?)

Gorgeous card Carol, love how you used the large stamp, never think to use just a part of the stamp but a clever way to get some extra mileage. Shame about the post office, won't be any left soon!

This is such a warm and lovely card! It's a shame about the post office closing. It has happened here in the states, too. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't mail my cards.

Beautiful card Carol, love the sunflower and your background is always fabulous, I try, but normally mess it up, too heavy handed..what a shame about the post office, ours have all shut down too, we have one at the chemist and they are insane and cant price properly and one at another shopping center which I can still walk too, but would rather not, our bus service used to come past my house and the stop was two doors down has now been re routed, and who wants to walk for 1/2 hour to catch a stupid bus !! the taxi cab companies are very happy to swindle an old lady out of 16 buks to take her to town..ha ha ha..and BACK!!!

Love that giant sunflower stamp and you have used the colours so well. Sorry to hear your post office has closed. I tend to do all my postage online now and if you haven't got a printer the postman can bring the label and then take your post xx

Beautiful jumbo flower, Carol - love your take on the colors! Hope you can find a way to stay on the chain with the suggestions from UK folks, otherwise we'll miss you! Hugs!!

Lovely with the half sunflower - such a pretty card! The postal service seems to be struggling everywhere... we have been through 2 postal strikes the last year and the future isn't looking good.

Love the arrangement on this card. What a shame that the post office is closing. I use an online account to get my postage. I can print it myself. I do have to pay a monthly fee, though. I mail so many cards that for me. It's worth it.

Spectacular card! It saddens me that you won’t be participating in any more swaps. They are so much fun! It’s such a pleasure having you join the Anything Goes challenge with Krafty Chicks this week.

Such a wonderful card, I love the design. I do wish you could continue the swap, but with international mail, I would definitely have to go to the post office.

Wonderful card to send and receive, great idea to use part of a stamp. I tend to only post stuff on the one day a month I have to make the effort to get into town for my prescription as haven't had a local post office for decades. The royal mail collection from home is ideal for when im having a relapse and can't get out.

Its a beautiful card you made Carol as well as the one you received, what a shame about the post office, one minute they talk about social isolation the next they are closing post office after post office one place that can keep people connected from across the miles. The world is changing far to fast for me..
I hope you will find other ways to keep connected. Good to have you as a friend on here. Take care Tracey xx

Your sunflower feels so full of life, and the way it sits against that ink‑swiped, embossed panel gives the whole card a warm, rustic depth. Using just part of that large AALL&Create stamp was such a smart choice; it draws the eye right where you want it. The layered text elements add a lovely sense of movement without overwhelming the design. I’m sorry to hear about the post office closures — it’s disheartening when something so essential becomes so difficult to access — but this swap card is a beautiful note to end on.

Hi Carol, great vintage looking card, I always love the bits-and-pieces stamps that you manage to incorporate. It's a shame about the post offices isn't it? Ours are gradually closing down too and also only 2 or 3 days a week mail delivery.
