Smash Your Stash

Morning and last Saturday of the month means it's Smash Your Stash junk journal challenge with my blogging friend Vicki from Stamped Smiles who makes fabulous cards and journal pages so please check out her blog.

The prompt this month is New Challenge/Technique which I struggled with a bit-then I found a ready made background in one of my junk journals, using real leaves to stamp onto a water colour background-distress inked the edges- the stamped sentiments are from Indigo Blu and AALL&Create. I then found two pieces I stamped with craft mag freebie stamps from years ago so I added distress inks round the edges and added them to page.

Butterfly Birthday

Morning and I have a card made which I followed a sketch challenge and using some new papers BUT I'm not totally happy with the result, I backed the papers on black thinking the colours would pop but I think it's had the opposite effect and dulled them down-I should have stuck with white!!! The paper is from a box full of papers from Crafters Companion which were a bargain on a FB decluttering page. The frame dies are from Crafters Companion too had those a while, the stamped sentiment is a Stampin Up one.

More Blossomed Numbers

Morning and time for our mid month(already!) post at Stamping Sensations and I have used another half of a stamp from the AALL&Create stamp set Blossomed Numbers, coloured with promarkers, and I stamped and cut a circle and some extra petals to put on 3-D foam. I cut a strip off the side to make it fit and added it along the bottom, some more dry wall lining behind the image.

Just Enough!

Morning and I made a card for a sketch I liked the look of on Try a Sketch on Tuesday-I found a piece of p, paper in oddments that was only just big enough to get the three squares and strip out of at a push so no idea what whose it was sorry! The stamped sentiment and stamped circle are from a Pickled Pear set that was gifted to me by a FB friend. The square dies are from The Works and the circle die from My Favourite Things. It looked a little stark so I doodled round all the edges with a fine liner pen. Please excuse the embossed line on last square -otherwise wouldn't have had enough and TBH not noticeable IRL-trust me lol.

Engagement Card?

Morning and I made an aperture card using inspiration from Alyson. I used a 12" p, paper cut just using the images which I have had for a few years, Circular die from My Favourite Things and wooden heart out of a set from The Works I was given. Have joined a crafters page on FB who gives monthly prompts to use your stash, This and That with Danni's Dreams. I have only used two of the prompts-12" papers and a heart -thought it could maybe be an anniversary card ? Light not good as papers are slightly darker IRL!
