Runestones and First Boyfriend

Morning well after-noon by time I finished editing and taking the dog for a walk lol  -the card today I made for Grandaughters 15th birthday which was the 1st May and as she has her first boyfriend and is into runestones and manifestations and the Universe on full moons-don't even ask lol-I thought one of the papers from my new paper pad Bittersweet Heights was just perfect---the Runestones were courtesy of Google. The May strip and the stamps were cut from remnants of Graphic 45 papers .

UPDATE ON JOHN---2nd Detached retina op failed and are trying  the op again using oil this time instead of a gas bubble-then another op to remove the oil---fingers crossed I never have this happen!!!

First I want to say that I sure hope that John's op goes well this time and things start to get better for you both and will be thinking of you.

Your card is beautiful with the pretty collage background and I love the addition with the butterfly stamps too! When hubby give me chocolate, it doesn't seem to last too long around the house! LOL Very nicely done and I'm sure she'll love it!

I love the ruins. I have never tried casting them but I think they are cool. What a wonderful time of life! Everything is so new and your mind is so open. I sometimes wish I could go back to those days! So happy birthday to your granddaughter and hope you have a happy day too!

P.S. Did I tell you I am going to take a trip to Europe the August after next? We are flying into Scotland and leaving from London, it is a 10 day trip.

Gosh, the paper really is perfect. I don't know about any of the things you mentioned, but it sounds like a teenager. Your card came out beautiful and I know your granddaughter will love it. I'm so sorry about John again! What he must be going through, tsk tsk. They say third time's a charm... let's hope it's true for him.

WOW! Carol what an awesome card with her interests on it. We all go through phases with "interesting" things don't we, all part of growing up :) She will, I'm sure, be thrilled with her card.
I'm sorry about John's op and sincerely hope that the next one will be successful, how worrying for you both.

Wonderful card, love the monotone and little details in the background. Your John's experience is mirroring that of my mother in law. She had 2 failed op with the gas then a third with the oil. Unfortunately none worked so she is now stuck with virtually no vision in that eye, it has been a real trial for her at 87. I hope it is third time lucky for John xx

Poor John! I hope the op works this time Carol.

Hello Carol, what a lovely card - the image is gorgeous and I love the soft tones you've used.
15 year olds, eh! They are into the strangest things - my daughter will be 15 in June and is currently into Anime/Manga/anything Japanese and any films that have lots of gore in them!
I hope the next eye operation is more successful.
